It's clear now that this really is an SDCC exclusive doll. The regular one will not have this level of paint detailing. So that should indicate that regular Katana will be part of the next wave of dolls, hopefully out before the holidays if they're even a little bit smart (though this line has kinda gone the opposite of smart path several times already).
While I like the details, a little paint wash alone doesn't make this doll very special to me. I was hoping she'd have either a real mask or interchangeable heads. Maybe there will be more details once they actually upload the article linked to alongside this photo on Facebook.
