REVIEW: Monster High Self Scare CLEO

Ordered from Amazon.

This'll be a quick review. It's late!

Accessories

What comes in the cute box.

My favorite pieces.

Love the palette and the compact! These are so cute.

I hate to say it though, but the doll is not great.

She really should have had her lipstick from the box art.

And this hair... If all poly hair was like this, then all the bitching people do in the comments would be warranted. This is after I conditioned it, which usually calms hair down. This hair will not be calmed.

I do love the shoes. And the shorts. I tried to photograph their detail but failed.

I like a lot of the accessories, plus the shoes, shorts and necklace. I may eventually strip her down and send her off to the toy store to find a more loving home, but for now, she got popped into one of my G3 packing boxes and Monster Fest Cleo got her phone and compact.

REVIEW: Awakening Nature

This series is called Lulu Elf Awakening Nature.

Another taller series. They're a little over 8".

I only bought one of these my first order, and I had the extreme luck to open the hidden one!

This is Eternal Red Night.

This line was the hardest to put together. You have to remove both hair pieces, the face plate, and the eye piece underneath just to put her choker on.

Those jagged wings are on ball joints that fit into her back hair piece. I managed to stab my finger pretty good getting them on. They are definitely stable though!

The headpiece is magnetic, so no problem there.

These also come with changeable hands.

I had three favorites from the common characters and these next two are two of them.

This is Spider Star Girl.

Love the details on her outfit!

I really love her hair color and shape.

All of these come with furry tails that are on elastic that goes around the doll's waist. I didn't put hers on because she's a spider theme. I don't see how she'd have one furry black tail.

Next up is Twin Moon of Clouds.

I absolutely adore this one. She looks like a Clow Card!

The headdress is so beautiful, and I love the lace mask.

She had a white tail that I left off. Eternal Red Night had a double red tail that I also left off, though her elastic seemed too small to put it on right anyway.

This one is named Skybone Wolf. At first, I was pretty disappointed that I didn't get my #1 fave, but when I put her together, I fell in love, so I'm glad I got her instead. I don't think I would have bought this one separately and I really love her, so I would have missed out.

Absolutely love the details.

She's the only one that gets her tail!

Group shot!

I'll be ordering the missing favorite once we move and I can safely import things again.

REVIEW: Symphonic Poem

This series is Luluya Symphonic Poem by Penny's Box. I've had two previous lines by Penny's Box, one that was animal-themed little girls and one that was centaurs.

These girls are bigger than those are. They're in the 7.5"-9" range.

This one is Night Reverie Poem, by far my most wanted of the set.

I actually ordered two from Amazon and got both the same character, which was the single character I did not want. So I bought these off Mercari, knowing which two they were.

These come with multiple sets of hands that are pretty easy to change.

The ribbons do not come attached to the shoes. You need to lace them yourself and that wasn't the most fun ever.

The headdress is awesome, but not very stable. They should have used a magnet.

This one is called Waltz.

Some of them have adorable feet in painted on ballet slippers. She came barefoot with regular feet like Night Reverie has, but there was an extra pair of feet that I put on her. It was easy, just like changing the hands.

Her headdress is a bit more stable than Night Reverie's.

The wings though. The wings are on ball joints and they pop into the corset piece. Night Reverie's are stable, but Waltz's are definitely not. They kept falling off, though once I got her in my room and posed her for pics, they stayed on.

While these are nice, I do wish they had the quality of the other two series. (I'm about to write the third post after this.) The wings falling off Waltz and the loose headdress on Night Reverie aren't great, but I also wish they came with underwear! Those are pretty short skirts, but nope, no panties. There are two others in the series that I like, but I don't think I'll be buying any more.

REVIEW: Arcane Circuit

I've been buying a lot of blind box BJDs off Amazon.

This first series is called Arcane Circuit. These are smaller dolls around 6" tall.

This is Candle Light.

Her little flame has a magnet, though it's still not the most stable thing ever.

Her hat goes over it. I love her both ways, but I'll display her with the hat on.

So cute.

This is Ella.

Her ears are magnetic.

The tail is on an elastic that goes around the doll's waist under her dress.

They were the first two I got. Then I ordered several more, trying to get all my favorites.

This is Little Devil.

Her wings are on magnets, so you stick them on over the dress. They're not the most stable, but not awful.

The horns are also magnetic.

I love these girls' sketchy little faces. They're a unique style. If you don't care for it, they do come with more typical faces you can swap.

This one is Little Angel. She wasn't on my want list, but when I got her, I had to keep her. She's so detailed and sweet!

And finally, this is YouYou the ghost.

SO CUTE.

She, Little Devil and Ella were my most wanted, but I really do love them all.

I won't be pursuing more, as the sixth common is one I don't want, and I'd never open the hidden one easily.

Very cute little line. I recommend them.

REVIEW: Sparkling Princess CINDERELLA

I'm not the biggest Cinderella fan. I actually collect the stepsisters, not her! I only have a handful of dolls of her. The old Disney Store masquerade one, which doesn't even look like Cinders, plus the Pocket Princess one, which is adorable. A couple Comfy Princesses. An assortment of figures from different lines. But no real solid representation of the character.

Until now.

There was something about her that made her a must have.

Pretty art.

Her bangs were mussed, so I rinsed the gel out and did my best to reshape them. That one end just does not want to curl under.

Her hair is completely gelled to form the updo. It's a little bit lopsided.

She just looks a little windswept, that's all.

I'll never be a fan of mitten gloves, but there's no other way to do them unless they're painted on, which would look too cheap for this line.

Nitpicks aside, I think she's stunning.

I didn't show the shoes, but they're faceted, which is a nice touch. They stay on nicely.

I love that they got the hair color right. Cinderella is a dark blonde, and her dress is not a brighter blue either. It's like this. I think this is an excellent depiction of her.

Now I may need to order the others...

REVIEW: Sparkling Princess JASMINE

I am extremely impressed with this line!

I think these are some of the best representations of the princesses ever done.

Good job, Mattel.

Gorgeous art. I clipped it out to use as a bookmark.

Her hair is a little on the messy side. It's lightly gelled, but there are some flyaways.

She's quite poseable.

I think her face is perfect.

Her hair is up a bit too high on the sides. They committed to pulling it out farther, as it is in the animation, and then I don't think they could also have it come down farther. It probably wouldn't have stuck out like that if it was fuller. I like it.

THEY GAVE HER FLAT FEET.

They are still arched like human feet tend to be, not like flat doll feet, so the shoes don't stay on perfectly, but I'm so happy they did this.

Nailed that profile. Jasmine's nose shape is one of my favorite things about her.

She's been my favorite since the movie came out and I absolutely love this doll. I think it's my favorite along with the original movie doll. She's definitely one of the best Jasmines ever made.
