REVIEW: Glitter Girls Chrissy, Stivie and Floe

Got 3 of my 4 Glitter Girls from Amazon!

I had also ordered Maren, but they sent Sashka instead. She has an item sticker on her that says Maren, but it's obviously Sashka. Interestingly, she's in the fully-enclosed box like these pictured here. The original release of Bobbi and Sashka came in the open front boxes like the first two series of girls. So perhaps with the release of Sashka and Chrissy, both from the 3rd series, in these new boxes, there might be hope that we'll get all of Series 3 eventually!

The back of Chrissy's box shows Series 3. Nothing new there.

Floe is shown with one of the horses.

Stivie's box however is interesting. She's shown with a black doll wearing the same outfit as her. So does this mean there's going to be a black version of Stivie? Or a new character in that same outfit? Or is it just showing what her outfit looks like on another doll? Hmm. This same mystery black doll, who does indeed have freckles like Stivie and is unlike any of the other black Glitter Girls, also appears in the catalog with the accessory set for this restaurant theme.

Here is Chrissy, finally here from Series 3. That makes half the line actually produced. We're still awaiting Ariadne, Elaithea and the unknown black girl with the dark blue eyes.

Chrissy is pretty cute. She's got a little Dawn Schafer/Wakefield vibe.

She clearly is meant to go along with the Sweet Shop, but that gives her a rather dull outfit. It would be pretty cute without the words on it actually. The apron is removable, so that would give it more versatility if the words weren't there. I'll probably redress her one of these days when I finally order them some more clothes.

Cute!

I mean, she's another blonde one, but she's still different than the others.

Here's Stivie, who works in a diner apparently. I do like this outfit though. I think it's a little more versatile than Chrissy's. Stivie doesn't have to work in a diner. (Obviously. She's a child.) She could just love themed outfits a la Claudia Kishi.

I'm a sucker for the freckled girls, so I really like her.

There's her little visor.

All the pieces are nicely-made, as per usual for this line.

And here's Floe, our cowgirl.

She's definitely got more quality than your average Glitter Girl. The hat is nice. That's actually one of my favorite colors. The boots are great. I love the little fringe detail on the sleeves. And the skirt is faux suede with all that embroidery work!

I expected her to be my favorite of these new ones and yep, she is.

Hopefully I will have a Maren review for you sometime over the weekend. She's supposed to arrive Friday. It better not be another Sashka! Argh.
