COLLECTION UPDATE: Charmin' Farm Friends

I got some new Charmin' Farm Friends PVCs, so I thought it would be a good time for an update.

So here are my PVCs of Ellie May Choppe, the lamb character. I believe I have all of hers now.

Ellie May comes in 2 color variations, which are pink and lavender for both of her costumes. The top ones are genies and the bottom are wearing a cute blue dress. The paint colors and hair colors are the same no matter what color she herself is.

Then we have Annabelle Moo. Like Ellie May, she comes in 2 color variations, but hers are white and lavender.

The top two are the white version of the cheerleader. This one also comes in lavender with a white sweater. As you can see, there are slight paint color variations. The pink is two different shades.

The bottom two are both versions of the tap dancer.

Here is Patty Jo Sqweel.

I wasn't sure if she'd have two color versions, but she does. They're just both different shades of pink. So the top is the two versions of the ice skater and the bottom is the lighter pink majorette with a paint color variation on the purpley bits.

So for these three characters, I believe I have them all except the purple cheerleader Annabelle and the brighter pink majorette Patty Jo.

The fourth character is Hillary Jean Nay, the horse. Her two costumes are a swimsuit and a fancy gown. She's the hardest one to find in any of the Charmin' Farm Friends line, so I don't own any of her PVCs. I've seen pictures of two and both are green, so she likely has a second color version, too. They're on Ghost of the Doll if you want to see them.

If anyone has more info or pictures, please let me know!

COLLECTION UPDATE: Charmin' Farm Friends

It's time to revisit Meritus' Charmin' Farm Friends line!

I've actually done two past posts on this line:

I don't think I've shown this one before. This is my purple and green version of Patty Jo Skweel.

The pink one above was my first toy from this line, aside from a sheep I think I had when I was hardcore collecting MLPs but I'm not sure if I'm actually remembering that correctly or not, so I count pink Patty as my first.

I got the purple one mint on card, but her flocking was terrible.

My intention for this line was to deflock all of them except pink Patty. Their flocking just doesn't hold up well, not even in the package. But it proved harder than I thought and I didn't want to risk damaging the paint, so I'm leaving them as is. Purple Patty came out pretty well though.

This is Annabelle Moo. She and pink Patty were the only two I had for ages.

I love this green. I'm not sure I've seen any of the others in this color.

Likewise, I love this dark pink and blue version of Hillary Jean Nay and I'm not sure any of the others have this coloring. There is a dark pink Annabelle, but she's got purple spots and her hair is purple and green, so not the same as Hillary here.

Basically, the colors in this line are all over the place and because it's not easy to find, we'll probably never know all the combos.

I also have Hillary in white. I know there's a white Annabelle, too.

There's a purple Hillary with a lime green mane and purple tail that I've wanted for many years, but I'm happy to have these two.

The one I'm missing is the lamb, Ellie Mae Choppe.

There are also mini figures with the characters in anthropomorphic form wearing different costumes.

These come in at least two color variants each.

I may not have Ellie Mae in the Fuzzimals style, but I've got three of her minis.

Hillary Jean is the only one I don't have a mini for. I need to go looking for some new ones. I think I might have passed over some on ebay.

The real reason for this collection update is that after all these years, I finally own some Barndazzlers!

The crazy thing is that I have not one but FOUR. And I got them all in less than a month, I think.

I bought the Annabelle on the right alongside the yellow Patty shown below. They're in rougher shape with some rhinestones and paint missing.

Then I got the better condition Annabelle on the left up above and last was the purple Patty here. Those two are in great shape.

I love these ones. They're like a blend of the more realistic Fuzzimals with the anthro minis. They can move one arm and their heads, but that's all.

Maybe someday I'll get Ellie Mae and Hillary Jean!

So that's it for now. Hopefully I'll have more new stuff soon. I've had good luck with vintage recently and I'd love for it to continue.

OVERVIEW: Charmin' Farm Friends

I collect a few lines that are so obscure, there's barely any info or pictures to share. One of these is definitely the Charmin' Farm Friends. These were made by Meritus around 1993-1994. Meritus also produced the Darlin' Dinos, who are much more well-known. I'll do an entry on them eventually.

Anyway, CFF are multiple different lines featuring the same characters. The Fuzzimals line is made up of four flocked poseable animal figures. These have hair like My Little Ponies. The pig and sheep just have it on their heads, while the horse and cow have tails, too. But there aren't just four figures. Oh, no. It can't be that easy. Like I said, there aren't many pics of these floating around the internet, but I have seen different color variants. For Patti Jo Skweel, the pig, I have the pink version with a purple earring. There's another that has a yellow earring. There's also a purple Patti Jo with what looks like a green earring. Even though Patti's the only one with photographic proof of color variants, I'm sure the other three have them, too.

The second line is called Barnimals. They're little figures with a curl of brushable hair on their heads. To complicate things once more, there are at least two sets of these and they were sold both in a set of four and individually! These figures are very anthropomorphic. They all wear outfits and have become bipedal. The photos on Ghost of the Doll, which I'll link to at the bottom, have the characters in both sets being the same color. The pig is pink, the horse green, the cow purple. There's only one sheep pictured on the site and she's a lighter pink than the cow. The sheep is in a cute little dress and holding a basket of flowers. The horse is in a bathing suit in one version and formal wear in the other. The cow is a tap dancer and a cheerleader. The pig is a majorette (this one is so cute) and an ice skater. I'm lucky enough to have one of these figures! However, again, we've got color variants rearing their ugly heads. I've also seen a purple version of the sheep.

My tiny collection

The third type of CFF I don't have much info on. I can't even actually recall the source of this photo. I have photos to my "Wanted" album, thinking I'll remember all the details and you know how that goes.

Barndazzler?

This version of the horse character is bipedal, not flocked or poseable and without much to speak of for clothing. I just Googled on the off chance there would be something new and there actually was!

Ridiculously small photo.

Here's the sheep and the package definitely says Barndazzlers. Or at least, I assume it does, because that's part of the Google listing. I can't read it when the photo is that tiny. But we've got another standing, non-poseable figure, so it seems like these are the Barndazzlers.

Okay, that about does it for this tiny but extremely frustrating line. If you want to pull your hair out trying to collect something that hardly ever shows up, this is the line for you. Heh.
