REVIEW: Poopsie QT Unicorns

I'm not sure how many things are still branded with Poopsie and how many have switched to Rainbow High like the Fantasy Friends did, but the new QT Unicorns are still Poopsie.

These are adorable little unicorns with rooted hair. They're poseable at the neck only like the smaller Cutie Tooties.

If you have a Walgreens nearby, check there. They're currently buy 1, get 1 half off, so two of mine cost $9.99 while the third was only $4.99.

The case I saw was only partially full. I left 2 pink and 1 purple behind, buying the orange, green and blue, so I'm guessing the 2 missing ones were another purple and then the yellow. But I'm not sure.

Here's a quick size comparison.

The orange is Gigi Giggles.

The green is Jenna Jitters. She's glow in the dark.

These all say surprise scent on the front, but Jenna is the only one I got even a hint of a scent from. Vaguely melon.

And the blue is Shannon Shy.

She has awesome dragonfly wings.

And a typical Poopsie butt.

A shot of their hair from the back.

They have excellent hair for little $10 unicorns. Very soft, thick and silky. And the curls are lovely with no dryness at all. The bangs are gelled, but that's to be expected.

Now I have to hunt down the yellow one!

From Penelope to Luna

So one of my friends posted on Facebook about how she thinks the names on the Fantasy Friends checklist were switched.

Quite honestly, I had no interest in the black-haired one with the rainbow goo on her head, so her name never stuck in my head.

It's Luna Eclipse.

What kind of name is that for her?

But it fits this doll perfectly.

So this is Luna Eclipse and the rainbow goo girl is Penelope Prizm.

Welcome, Luna!

Fun with Fantasy Friends

I got all my Fantasy Friends in hand yesterday! After buying the first three blind, I kept seeing the same ones for sale, ones I didn't want, and saw them not selling. Not wanting to be stuck with unwanted duplicates, I opted to buy them all on Facebook, ebay and Mercari instead of more blind ones.

So I got them all together today for a quick photoshoot.

I do love the details on these! They're pretty awesome.

This is my favorite one. Of course she is. Penelope Prizm.

All in black with straps, safety pins and a septum pierce!

Plus, she's got the cool darker hands and feet and some awesome space tattoos. And the Sailor Moon reminiscent crescent on her forehead.

She's just fantastic.

Safety pin tiara!

My Penelope is friends with just about all the others, but one of her closest friends is, naturally, Pippa Twilight.

They share a wing style, though Pippa's have more painted detail and Penelope's are translucent.

Here's Pippa on her own.

She is by far the heaviest of all mine. It's her hair. Not only is it more hair than a lot of the others have, it's glitter-encrusted.

I love her darker lips and her slightly worried expression. I think of it as she's upset because I keep Penelope, her main friend, out on the coffee table and not beside her.

I think she might glow in the dark, but I'm not sure. I haven't tested it. But she looks like she ought to.

Here's Pippa with Mia Monarch. These two have somewhat similar outfits. Butterfly and moth.

Just realized I did not take a pic of Mia solo. Oh, well! She's my newest arrival and I'm thrilled I got such a great deal on her. She and Bella here are two of the line's ultra rares.

Mia is by far my favorite of the pair though and one of my faves from the whole line. I love orange and she's darling.

A look at their wings.

Mia does have a hint of glitter hair. Her little side ponytail has it on the tip.

These two are in the pointy ear group, along with Honey B and Hunter Defly.

And here are the four glitter-haired ones.

Minus Mia, because hers isn't fully covered.

The first 3 I opened. I was pretty lucky to get Bella Twinkle!

Bella on her own.

And Honey on her own. She's my favorite of the ones that don't necessarily look like obvious ones I'd like. There is something so super cute about her little face!

The two boys. I definitely would not have paid for Rico Charming had I not opened him. Hunter makes him really look dull.

Here's Hunter on his own. I love his arms!

He and Penelope both have a septum piercing.

And he shares dragonfly wings with Kyra Rae and Lily Splash.

I got Hunter and Kyra from the same seller, so I think of them as siblings.

I knew I'd love Kyra and I do. I love the golden sheen on her gorgeous red hair. And her cute outfit!

Kyra is very sun-kissed and has the tan lines to prove it.

She looks cute with Penelope, because they're the sun and night sky.

Then there's pretty Lily. She's another ultra rare.

She has some amazing detailing.

Lily and Bella like to wear flowers.

Last but not least is Electra Spark! Love this sassy girl.

Cute rounded wings.

She and Hunter are the tough guys.

And she and Penelope are adorable purple girls!

These are all I'm planning on getting, although I wouldn't say no to the ladybug or mermaids if I found them for like ten bucks.

Who's your favorite?

REVIEW: Poopsie Fantasy Friends

Got my first three Fantasy Friends today!

These are $14.99 on the Walmart website. I'm hoping to find them in store soon, but nothing yet.

These are very similar to the Sparkly Critters, but they're humanoid instead of creature.

Once you unwrap the outer plastic, there's a plastic tray over the bottle top and upper part of the bottle. Remove that and you can remove the cap. The sprayer is actually full of glittery crap and you can spray it out. Dear gods, the mess this would make. Ugh.

But that glitter spray is your first hint of who's inside.

You tug on the two halves of the bottle and it opens to reveal this pouch.

These three pouches are inside.

One has the doll. One has the bottle. One has the directions, checklist, scooper thingy, and packets of crap. That third one also has yet another packet inside and that's the doll outfit.

Bottle. Humorous packet.

Crap packets.

Outfit. Scooper thingy.

Checklist!

My wanted: Electra Spark, Hunter Defly, Lily Splash, Kyra Rae.

Yep, that's right. All but two are either rare or ultra rare.

As if. I doubt any of these are going to be that hard to find.

My wanted: Mia Monarch, Pippa Twilight, Penelope Prism.

I did manage to score an ultra rare though. That shiny packet in the "crap packets" picture is special to the ultra rares. Sadly, unlike with Sparkly Critters, it doesn't have any different sound when you shake it, so there's not going to be a shake test for this set.

The doll comes with a pacifier in and a white heart sticker over the hole in her butt. You push the tummy in and they "fart." Sigh. Thankfully, that hole is covered by the lower half of the outfit.

You can clean these out just like Sparkly Critters. They're scented like the second Critters series, too.

She is ADORABLE. My mom was beside me going "Come on, butterflies!" and she nailed it. I wanted the monarch one more, but Not Tinker Bell here is cute, too.

(Seriously, her name is Bella Twinkle. Twinkle Bella. Tinker Bell.)

The detail on her is superb.

The gold wings have a pink painted sheen. The sculpting on all the butterflies and garlands is great. The outfit is great.

Her lashes aren't perfect, but I'm not picky. She's got some makeup on, too. A glittery layer of eyeshadow that's kinda buried behind the lashes, as well as the more visible colors.

So Bella's packets were green and her glitter spray was white.

The second one's packets are golden orange and her spray was orangeish.

It's Honey B!

I wasn't sold on her from the checklist, but in person she is actually even cuter than Bella. I love the pale skin, pale purple eyes and pale lips. And the cut of her bangs works really well, too.

Outfit on. Her detailing isn't to Bella's level and I think Bella's prettier overall, but Honey's cuter.

Ugh, so cute! I need more.

The third bottle had pinky-red glitter spray and more gold-orange packets. It's Rico Charming.

Rico and Honey are the only two "regular" rarity of the line. I wonder if that explains their matching packet colors.

Now he's cute, but just look at him with the girls.

The detail level is just not there. The Charming tattoo on his belly and the Mom heart on his arms are cute, as are the heart hands, but they could have decorated his diaper or something. The girls have molded insects and wings. He's got a sloppy crown and plain underwear.

Size-wise, they are a little bigger than Sparkly Critters.

I'm hoping someone cracks the code on these. Rico and Honey are the only two on the list with two different options, so they're likely in both assortments, but are both assortments even out? Remember how Sparkly Critters Series 2 went. They held back 2 ultra rares and I think 4 other characters.

I do really like them and I did not get a single one of my most wanted, so I'll be getting more. Maybe I'll order tomorrow. I've got a couple things to pay for, so I won't know for a bit.
