REVIEW: Bratz Hello Kitty KUMI

Well, that's a terrible picture.

I grabbed Kumi at Target as part of my birthday treats on Tuesday.

She's gorgeous.

I love to see darker Bratz, as always. The blue streaks in black hair always reminds me of my very favorite, PnP Jade.

I would wear those pants. I would wear those shoes if I wore heels.

I love that she's got glasses, but I will always hate how companies package dolls with glasses.

You've either got them fully wrapped to protect the doll's face, which tends to warp the glasses. I always have to bend pairs that are fully wrapped. Or you've got them unwrapped and then they mark up the face. That's what happened here. She's got a nice black mark to the left of her nose. I got most of it off, but not all of it.

My solution is to have them off to the side, so they and the doll don't get damaged. It'd suck for in box collectors, but eh. I still think it'd be better than getting a $35 marked up doll.

I think she would have been better with a burgundy, wine or dark purple lip, but she's still a lovely doll. I'm always happy to see Kumi.

REVIEW: Mirror Mi Mini Luna

I only like two of this line and one of them is one of the more controversial ones.

I'm perfectly fine with the fact that Luna has been turned into a fairy and gained a glowing fantasy skintone. She has wings. She has pointed ears. She's not human anymore.

The best thing is that now we don't have vitiligo being made pretty and decorative, so I can actually spend money on this character. That kept me from buying her. I hate that they did that after doing such a nice job on RH Jewel and other dolls.

I love her closed eyes and pretty makeup.

The stand is not the most sturdy but it does its job.

From the back.

Side.

And one more of her cute face.

I do think she's lovely, but let's not pretend there is $20 worth here. Not when Minnee cost $15. The bag clip idea is terrible for a doll with removable hair and tiny shoes. Something's going to get lost. I don't regret getting her, of course, but they're definitely overpriced. That's one reason I only want her and Suki.

REVIEW: Mirror Mi SHAI MEADOWS

I'm knocking Shai out of the way, even though I only just took these photos tonight, so technically, she's the last review. But I love her so much that this is going to be quick and easy.

Accessories.

SO DANG CUTE.

Adorable face. Love the makeup. Love the little curls. Love the headpiece.

I was pleased to see that's not a skirt. It's little overall shorts.

The fabric layers. The details. Really, no one does clothes like MGAE. When they put the effort in, that is.

AUGH. I love this.

I would have gone full-on hoof shoe with no heel, but they probably didn't want to push it too much. And the heels help her stand on her own.

I only have two things I'd change about this doll. I think she's the strongest design from the line, though she's not quite my favorite. But I would have made the shoes a soft brown. Lean harder into the hoof aspect.

It's gonna be one of those reviews where I just have a lot of similar photos.

Quality nitpick: the bag is a struggle to keep on. It was a fine idea to make it crossbody, but the strap doesn't like to stay connected to the lamb.

The other thing I would have changed was giving her some earrings. Like tiny horns. But a very minor thing and she's fine without them.

And here we go with more similar pics.

Another.

And the last one.

Absolutely adore her. Suki is still my #1, but Shai and Blaze are tied for second fave and they're super close behind her.

REVIEW: Bratz Stylin' Birthdayz JADE

Finally getting down to some more reviews!

I've had Jade for a while and it took me time to unbox her and then even more time to get pics done and then even more time to do this part. But now I've got some free time and it's time to catch up on these three reviews I've had planned.

I'm always here for a darker Jade, especially with purple involved. I feel like she's been more red and pink lately, so the purple is nice.

The dress is reminding me of an old Posh Spice doll. Not that that's a bad thing. I loved that dress.

The light eyebrows kinda work for her, though I'm not a fan of that look usually.

They need to leave the object heels to Mattel though. I hate these and I didn't like the Scorchin' ones either.

I do like the laced backs though.

 She's lovely.

Great hair, too.

The barbells on the back of the necklace are my favorite little detail.

The purse though... I like the shape but it's really cheap considering the price.

Overall, I like her a lot.

I do think she's expensive for a doll in a tiny bit of fabric with a cheap plastic purse and a giant tee, but her design made me want her enough to suck it up and pay it. I like the others in the line, but not enough to pay unless they go on sale.

REVIEW: Mirror Mi SUKI GOLDPETAL

Let's see how fast I can do this review. I'm on low battery.

I was lucky enough to get an order in for Suki on Walmart.com. She's my favorite from the line, so I was thrilled.

Back of the box

For as amazing as the doll is, her accessories could use some help.

The pink bag has a lovely design that you can't see at all, because it just blends into the plastic.

The teacups and saucer are cute.

The headphones were a really neat idea with the removable teacups, but they don't stay in place very well. They tried but their method just didn't work. The pink plastic feels pretty cheap, too. I tried putting them on her, but the fit wasn't great and both teacups promptly fell off.

Thankfully, the doll herself is so stunning that she doesn't need accessories.

I love her whole look.

The only thing I would have changed is the pink. The pink on her face is fine, but I would have used white, gold and blues for the straps on the dress, the shoes and purse.

There is actually a molded crack on her leg. It's not just paint.

She's soooooooooooo cute!

I washed the gel out of her longer hair, the main bangs and the longer pieces on the sides, but left the upper parts gelled. She has some golden streaks hidden underneath.

Love the cup! And the flower.

The bunny is super cute and I love the jeweled part.

Shoes from the side.

And the back.

I think these would have looked amazing in gold, as the thin straps would echo the golden cracks. The golden bits here could have been darker blue.

Hanging with the girls.

My two faves.

Absolutely adore her. I think she's the highlight of this line. Yes, some changes to her accessories would have elevated her, but she's still the most incredible doll I've bought in a while.

I love the kintsugi theme, although they missed the mark with "fragile." Kintsugi is about resilience and finding beauty in your imperfections. It's not fragility. So for me, Suki represents resilience.

REVIEW: Mirror Mi AMORA VALENTINA

I did not initially care for Amora. I didn't have an outright issue with her, like I do with others, but I saw her legs and just wrote her off as a Cupid knockoff. I was confused why she was the only one with weird legs. I still think it's an odd choice. Why does she have this extremely inhuman feature when the others don't? The only other really unnatural thing is Suki being chalk white. Yeah, Shai and Akiko have odd-colored legs, but not on the same level as this.

Buuuuuuuut I decided Blaze needed a friend on hand, especially because most of my dolls will be packed for a while.

The chocolates are very cute. Love the purse, too.

The more I thought about how horrific this would be in person, the more I got to like Amora. I decided she's the sweet, pretty girl who's really into horror. I'm used to the filled legs from Novi Stars and RH, but there's something off-putting about it when the regular skintone just fades into clear, heart blood-filled legs.

Her shoes are very pretty.

I don't love that both brown girls have silky, lighter hair and light eyes. How stunning would she be with big brown eyes? Or with some texture? She's beautiful, but man, with brown eyes, she would have been beyond.

She did win me over with her endearing expression though. Charlie Bears have several characters with eye whites under their plastic eyes and the designer refers to this look as "who, me?" eyes. Amora has who, me? eyes. But there's also a little sadness there for me. This isn't just some over the top flirt. She's got an interesting depth to her.

I also immediately got a Fluttershy vibe from Amora. That's one thing in favor of this eye color. The eyes, the expression, all the pink...blonde isn't pale yellow but it's still reminiscent. Then Blaze started to make me think of Sunset Shimmer. And seriously, Blaze Maxx? Amora Valentina? Luna Skye? Shai Meadows? They all have pony names.

Not that any of that is bad. I love me some My Little Pony.

Looking forward to more from the line!
