REVIEW: Ruby Red Fashion Friends Fierce Sabrina

FINALLY.

DHL has had my Sabrina since Wednesday and could easily have brought her out for delivery. They claimed "severe weather" as the reason for the delays. Eeyeah. It's been severely sunny and in the 50s and 60s. DHL is the WORST.

Backpack, choker, hat, boots, wig and wig cap, and in the tissue is her outfit.

Authenticity card.

Mine is #113. Nice.

Her outfit.

The white top is shown in her photos with the sleeve on the other arm, but it looks better this way. The velcro along the side is more hidden.

She's gorgeous.

Scooted the wig back to show her brows, but I like it the first way better.

Choker on. Love it.

Jacket on.

Zipped.

Nah, I prefer unzipped.

Love the hat.

She doesn't need to carry her bag. I'm leaving it on her box. But there it is.

I love her. I wasn't 100% on her but wanted to give her a chance, and in person, I'm a fan.

Some people nitpicked her outfit, saying it was like Elena's.

Uh. It isn't.

The jackets are a different style. The boots are a different style. The plaids are different.

If you can accept floofy dress after floofy dress and not say they look the same, then you can see that this isn't the same either.

Here are all my darker-styled RRFFs.

Nicky, Sabrina, Elena, Elinda.

Love them all!

I thought I'd take a pic of my rearranged collection. This is one of the shelves in my closet that are perfect for displaying my larger dolls.

In the front row, we've got Elinda, Elena, Daisy, Fernanda, Charlotte, Stella and Hanna. Then my Ddung Juliet and Rexard Catherine of Aragon. (In a very, very historically accurate hot pink gown. Heh.)

Behind them are Manica from Paola Reina, Nicky, Sabrina, Nellie, 2 Gorjuss dolls, Kelsey, Sydney, 2 more Gorjuss dolls.

In the very back are my lone Gene doll, a hidden Brass Key Cultured Keepsakes Russian porcelain doll (she's behind Nicky), Laurel, Alissa and Kat from Stardust Classics, and Carpatina Veronika.

REVIEW: Na Na Na Surprise Minis Series 1

In one of MGAE's wisest moves since Bratz, they finally made little poseable vinyl figures of the Na Na Nas.

Thankfully, they're marked just like the big ones, so you know who's inside. Less thankfully, they're not in any of my stores yet, so I had to blind order.

I got four of them. These are the two I decided to open.

You pop the perforated cardboard back open and pull out three pouches.

The two smaller packets contain the outfit and the footwear.

Outfits are rubbery with openings on the back like LOL Surprise. Shoes are also rubber. The socks are fabric.

Be very careful opening the large packet. That's where this plastic piece holding the doll is, but that's also where a load of confetti is.

Confetti sucks.

SO CUTE.

She's poseable at the usual five basic places (neck, shoulders, hips).

The hats are flocked and I'm assuming the hair is attached to them somehow.

I was so happy to see the square than represented Minna Moody. I really wanted Tuesday Meow most, but Minna was very close second. And she does not disappoint. She's so stinkin' cute.

Aspen Fluff also does not disappoint. Not one on my want list, very few were, but I decided to open her and now I totally love her. She has teeny freckles!

And because I loved those two so much, I caved and opened the other two.

CJ Cuddles is surprisingly adorable. I like him way more than I thought I would.

Britney Sparkles is the one I like least. I like how they did the transparent shirt with glitter in it, but I hate how they just painted a bunch of dots that are supposed to be rainbowy sequins. It doesn't work. Her hair also isn't as nice as Minna and Aspen's.

This should give you an idea of the size.

And here are all four. I love them (except for Britney) and I hope to see them in stores soon. There are a few more I need to buy.

Britney is a sparkle. It does resemble CJ's symbol, but Britney's doesn't have flat edges. They curve in.

Minna is a square.

CJ is a diamond. It's the same as Minna's square but the point is at the top.

Aspen is a snowflake.

Tuesday is a crescent moon.

Misha is an arc, sort of like a rainbow shape.

Sarah is a circle.

Aubrey is a heart.

Roxy is a triangle.

Nina is a cloud.

Michael is a pawprint.

Katherine is a diamond like CJ but hers is long and stretched out. The points are more rounded, whereas his are sharp corners.

IN STOCK: Rainbow High Shadow High Series 2

So remember those RH/SH links I posted not that long ago? There was speculation on IG that the SH dolls were Series 3. I figured that was crazy because why have pre-orders that far out when we haven't even gotten S2 in stock yet? However, I admit I was wrong. Pretty sure those links ARE Series 3.

Why?

Because Series 2 just appeared in stock!

REXX:

Delivery in early January. No idea on the delivery window time, as I didn't order him. I just don't do anything with the poor boys.

DIA MANTE:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09PCTPZK9/

Dia is the odd one. She's the only one in stock right now, because she's the only one that says delivery between December 28th and 31st. She's also the only one that's a strange price. The others are all $24.99, but she's $33.67. Why? Who knows? Only Amazon. I ordered her anyway. Why not? I've been wanting these for ages.

Looking forward to doing some reviews in the new year!

REVIEW: Kinra Girls Kumiko

I've had a photo saved in my Wanted album for years. It's a Snow White doll made by Corolle that I got outbid on a very long time ago. I used to keep a Corolle search on ebay to try to find another, but gave up when nothing ever appeared. I semi-recently had the urge to skim the Corolle search results and that's how I discovered the Kinra Girls.

This line came out in 2012 and is in the vein of the Karito Kids, Hearts for Hearts Girls, and other lines where the characters are from different countries. Looking at the website, they seem to solve mysteries, so a lot of inspiration could be taken from the Thea Girls book series, where five anthropomorphic teen girl mice from around the world travel a lot and solve mysteries. The Karito girls also were mystery-solvers.

There are five characters in the line. All of the text is French, so I know nothing.

From the website, I learned that:

-Kumiko is a Japanese artist (painting, photography) who also loves fashion.

-Idalina is from Spain and she plays guitar and sings.

-Naima is black and from New York. Her passion is "the circus," which is a very unusual thing for a character to like in one of these doll lines. I wish I could read the books to see how she likes the circus.

-Rajani is from India and loves dance.

-Alexa is an Australian equestrian.

There is an extensive book series of mystery novels, choose your own adventure, and even comics. I wish these were in English! They look fun.

I was eyeing Idalina and Naima from a French shop a few months ago, but ended up forgetting about them because I had to do my vacation prep. While I was on vacation, I found Kumiko here in my ebay search emails and I had to have her. She and Rajani are my faves.

She arrived from France quite quickly in under two weeks. (As did a package from Australia bought slightly after Kumiko. International shipping must be improving.)

Kumiko is strapped in at the neck and ankles, like a lot of these taller dolls.

Oh, she's so cute!

I didn't want to undress her because I hate getting legwarmers back on and her gloves are stitched to her sleeves, but her pieces seem to be: red and purple layered top (one piece designed to look like two), slightly glittery black miniskirt, black pants, gray and black striped legwarmers, matching arm warmers, red and white sneakers with laces.

The outfit is nicely detailed. Corolle isn't a cheap company really, so I expected good quality from them.

She has a sweet expression. She's more cartoony than other similar lines, which tend to have inset eyes. But I think it's a nice difference.

Cute little red hairties.

I'm not taking her hair down. It looks like it's pretty set in this style.

From the side.

These dolls have a mostly fabric body with wires inside that allow you to bend their arms and legs. The vinyl arms are basically only forearms. The fabric starts right about where her purple sleeve ends. Her vinyl legs come up to about an inch below her "knee." This is a different type of quality to the fabric-bodied but vinyl-limbed larger dolls. The Kinra Girls feel more like a balance between one of the fancier AG-type and a playline doll. These feel more durable and kid-friendly.

I'm glad I stumbled across this line! Kumiko is super cute and I ended up grabbing Idalina and Naima from the French shop I mentioned near the beginning of this review. I wouldn't mind having all five of these girls. I'm going to be on the hunt for Rajani next year. Might have to check ebay France and email some sellers to see if they'll ship to the US.

REVIEW: Monster High Ghoul Spirit

I saw the Ghoul Spirit set at Walmart and couldn't resist it for only $49. A little more than $8 per doll? Yeah, that's a good price.

I wasn't planning on doing a review, because this is an older set and I didn't see the need. But after opening and really seeing how much I appreciated the dolls, I wanted to take some pics and get my thoughts down. So no boxed pic and no pic of all the accessories I don't care about.

This right here was the main draw of the set. Of course it was. She's glorious.

I didn't do side by side pics because I wasn't sure how much I could get the details to show, but the GS dolls have different makeup than the sigs.

GS Cleo uses warm tones above and gray underneath, while the sig had blue and yellow.

Her hair is a bit shorter than the sig and the tinsel matches her dress with its multicolored sheen.

Aside from the doll herself, the earrings, shoes and jacket are all solid pieces. Her dress isn't even that awful. It's easily the best outfit in this set.

I plan on using these dolls to wear some of the extra pieces from the upcoming secrets dolls, so having some extra accessories is nice.

Frankie was my second reason for buying this. I hated the painted shaved side at first, but after seeing them in the show with the shaved side all the time, I knew this might be my one shot of getting that on a doll. There are hair details sculpted into the side of their head, which makes the cheapness of just painting and not flocking a little more excusable.

They also have short hair. While I do think this looks spectacular, if one doll in this set should have had short hair, it was Toralei, who is canonically supposed to have it.

Great makeup. The eye makeup colors are different from, and better than, the sig. The cheek bolt is nice. I like the single earring, too.

The shirt isn't the greatest, but that skirt has excellent possibilities. I do like this top better than the uniforms the others wear though. It's got some hockey vibes and I like that.

The less said about the boots, the better.

There's a bit of blue hiding under there.

This Frankie is actually tied with Creepover as my favorite. I love them a lot.

Worth $49. Definitely.

Toralei is actually the other standout from the set. Once you get those ugly yellow legwarmers off anyway.

I don't care for the uniform, but her shoes and choker are cute.

I also don't care for the hairstyle, but I'm not taking it down. She has surprisingly good quality hair. I'll likely be leaving the hair long on all my Toraleis except the sig. Cutting it is too much of a pain to keep doing. At least I'll have one that looks right.

I think she has better makeup than the sig. I love the green touches.

While I don't like the uniform as a fashion choice, it's practical. Unlike trying to do sports in heels. *cough*G1*cough*

I was pleased the headband is not plastic. I really thought it would be. It's a nice stretchy material.

She has surprisingly nice hair. Way better than the disaster that my Creepover had. (That's why I never reviewed her. Her hair was the worst hair on any MH doll I've ever had.) And better than the sig, too.

Laura is cute. The sneakers and bow are definitely reusable.

She'll be great for redressing.

And finally, Deuce is also cute. This looks like a regular outfit for him rather than anything sporty. Not a fan of the plastic socks, but what can you do?

Overall, I like this set far more than I expected to. I would never have paid full price for it, but for $49, I had to get it.
