REVIEW: Monster High Skulltimate Secrets Series 8 Cabin Slaycation CUPID ASTERIA

I am not normally a big Cupid fan, though I did adore her in EAH. I thought she was far better suited there. But this doll is cute as hell, so I had to have her.

Love the wings!

I'm a bit on the blind side, so I often miss stray hair in my dolls' faces. Sorry about that. 

Like Clawdeen, she's also Saran. Gel in the bangs but not awful. I'm not washing it out for once. 

Cute little face! The birthday doll was not even half this sweet. I love her. 

Again, love the basic outfit. 

Amazing boots! 

Except I don't love the blue. I think they would have been fine without it.

Inside the suitcase: 2 hangers, scarf, sweater and skirt.

I didn't take a pic of the scarf fabric this time, but it's also lovely.

Shelves, key, boots and bracelet. Again, be careful when opening so you don't lose the bracelet. 

Other key with keyring, necklace, purse, hat and belt. 

I don't like the blue pieces and I know someone did a great review of Cupid yesterday, so I am not putting them on her. I dislike the skirt and while I do like the belt, I just don't like the addition of that much blue to her. I would use this on another Cupid though. 

The bow is cute, but I'm iffy about necklaces with high-necked tops. 

I love the boots but I like the pink ones better. Okay, if these get to Amazon and go on sale, I'm buying another Cupid. Then maybe she'll wear the blue... Blue skirt and belt, no sweater, these boots. That might work.  

I like the wings too much to hide them with her hair. 

Still can't get over her sweet little face.

Ah, the scarf. Love it. 

This hat though. I get the idea. It's a cute idea. Heart-shaped hat. Sure. 

However...

If you angle it one way, it looks like a butt. (Give me your best asshat jokes. Come on.) If you angle it like this, which I think is how the designer meant, it looks like a bra on her head. No matter what I do, it simply does not look like a heart. 

Final look! 

I remember someone in the other review not liking the "orange" purse, but it's brown. It's "wood." I like it. 

I never would have guessed I'd absolutely love two winter cabin-themed dolls. Yet here we are!
