REVIEW: Aphmau Minis Litter 4

Aphmau has another new series out. Litter 5 of the plush and Litter 4 of the figures are both a sea theme. 

As with last series, these designs look much better in figure form than plush. I did get a couple plush and opened the dolphin and seahorse. I think the seahorse and lobster are the two best ones, though the dolphin isn't as bad as I'd originally thought. 

However, the dolphin works much better as figure.

Definitely cuter in figure form. 

And the lobster and seahorse.

No codes for these guys, so you just have to try your luck. 

I ordered 10 and got the full set, which I'm really thankful for.

REVIEW: Aphmau Series 4 Plush

I did not take a photo of the boxes. They're boring anyway. 

First bit of bad news is that these are totally blind again. Series 1 and Series 2 had codes. Series 3 did not have codes, but you could nudge the checklist out of the way to see the plush inside. Series 4 is wrapped in plastic, but you can still get to the checklist to nudge it aside...only to find shiny silver staring back at you. They're wrapped in foil. 

Second bit of bad news is that they jacked the price up. When I ordered my 3 from Target, I paid $9.99 each. I went back on there a few minutes ago and they are now $12.99 each. THREE DOLLARS. And you can't see who you get? Ugh. Just wait and buy the one you want on ebay when the prices drop.

A bit of an unorthodox setting for the pics, but my review shelf is covered in the 7 dolls I still need to photograph for you guys. (ILYs and Latinistas coming soon.) 

So I got the rainbow one. He's going off to live with a friend.

Then I got diamond. He's really cute. I'm not in love with how they did the gem ones in plush form. They definitely work better as figures. But he's still cute. 

I love the fabric. So sparkly. 

I thought I'd have no luck and then boom, the one I wanted most. 

MOON. 

He's one of my favorites from all the series.

Diamond also has a cute face. 

I thought I was only going to want sapphire, but now I kinda want ruby and emerald, too. And maybe sun. But I'm not paying $12.99 a pop to maybe get a double. ebay/Mercari it is.

Aphmau Meemows Series 3 Figures Part 2

I went back to Target and bought five more Meemows figures. 

These are all the ones I have so far. (I have a double of the emerald one that's not pictured.)

The blue one confuses me. It has the face of the diamond cat on the checklist, but it's so blue. Is it sapphire with diamond's face? Is diamond just really blue? You'd think it would be clear or white. 

I just located an image of the set and the sapphire one does have the face from the checklist. It's a much darker blue. So if you get this light blue thing, this is apparently what Aphmau thinks diamonds look like. 

The moon is one of my favorites they've ever done. 

Absolutely love it. 

This galaxy one is pretty boring. 

Not my favorite, but I'm not going to sell it. 

Hoping to get ruby and sapphire soon! I just placed a sizeable Target order with some more of these, three of the plush, and way too many dolls.

APHMAU Meemows Series 3 figures & Series 4 plush

Target had a bunch of these new Series 3 Meemow figures, so I bought one. 

I'm pretty sure these still lack the codes Series 1 had. Sigh. 

I got the sun! I love it. 

These are seriously super cool. 

I'm so tempted to go back tomorrow and buy more. 

Here's the checklist. I want moon and sapphire the most, but I'd take most of them. Rainbow's the only one I'm really not into. 

Here's a promo pic of the Celestial plush I grabbed from Amazon. The faceted designs are cute but work much better as figures. I still want sapphire anyway. It's my birthstone. I think moon is by far the cutest. Sun doesn't work as well in plush form. 

Target had a box for these, but they'd all sold out.

REVIEW: Aphmau Series 3 Plush

I found a bunch of Aphmau Series 3 at Walmart and I was able to find the two I wanted. Chocolate Cake is on the left and Cotton Candy on the right. 

Like the minis, the plush now also lack codes. The way I identified them was by poking the flaps behind the box ears down until I could see the color of the cat inside. Chocolate Cake's darker brown was easy to see and Cotton Candy is fuzzier than the others, so I felt that and knew it was her. It's a pretty easy ID method you can do in the store without damaging the boxes. 

I'm all caught up on Aphmau now. Yay.

REVIEW: Aphmau Meemows Series 2

 

I found some Aphmau Series 2 mystery figures in Target yesterday and grabbed all 5 boxes. I had bought Sugar Skull on ebay already, but I managed to get all three of the others I wanted. I'm very pleased. 

So we've got Cinnamon Roll, Pancakes, Pumpkin, and Sugar Skull. 

Unlike Series 1, these do not appear to have a code. There is something that resembles a code stamped on each box, but I believe these are batch numbers. I bought 5 boxes and had 3 with one batch number and 2 with a different one. I opened the pancake cat in both batch numbers, so they're likely meaningless. 

I'm not that interested in the other characters, so I won't be buying any more blind. I adore these four though! The cinnamon roll and pancakes work a lot better in figure form.

Aphmau Meemows Litter 3

The Aphmau Meemows are back in a 3rd "litter" of plush toys. 

This series is an all-food set, which means I don't want them all this time. 

Top Row: Cherry Cupcake, Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookie

Middle Row: Cinnamon Roll, Cotton Candy

Bottom Row: Macaron, Pancake, Strawberry Shortcake

Aphmau Mystery Meemows CHEAT CODES

 
I got my first Aphmau Meemows figures today! Walmart had four of the plush left and I found my angel one, so I have all of those now. 

For the figures, they had one left in a case and then another unopened case right behind it. There was a third unopened case on the top of the aisle, but I wasn't climbing for it. 

So these are definitely bigger than I expected!

I went through the entire untouched case and found only four different codes. I wasn't sure if the stamped on code I was looking at even had anything to do with the character inside, but I couldn't figure out another reason why there would be different codes in the same case. So I picked out one of each. 

They are indeed different. I opened Dragon, Fairy, Burger and Taco. 

There is no checklist and I didn't take a pic of the box, but that's fairly easy to find online. 

The others in the set are the Donut and Fries from Series 1 (like Burger and Taco), and the Mermaid and Unicorn from Series 2 (like Dragon and Fairy). 

I would not be surprised if there were two different case assortments and there's one out there with only the four I'm missing. 

Definitely do not buy a whole case and think you're getting the full set! From what I saw, you'll just end up with a ton of doubles. My set was 1, 2, 5 and 6, so it's likely 3, 4, 7 and 8 are also together.

REVIEW: Aphmau Litter 2 with Cheat Codes

I ordered 10 of the new Aphmau Litter 2 blind box plush from Amazon. When they sent me 9, I was hopeful about getting a full case and no doubles, but no. Alas. I ended up with 6 of the 8 characters and 3 total doubles. Not sure if they did send me a case and cases are that mixed or if it was just by chance that they shipped 9. The 10th still hasn't shipped. Not sure why when they're in stock on Amazon, though they weren't a day or so ago. Just ship my 10th one already. 

 

I got the first ones without knowing they had codes! 

The number you want is in the white print above where it says "Contents: One Plush." That string of letters and numbers is the code. The only number that matters is the last one before the final two letters. You can see a 6 on the top box and a 2 on the bottom box. That's your code. 

Here's the checklist. 

I'm going to start with my fave. This is Nether Cat, which I don't care for. I prefer Demonicat. Apparently, Nether is some sort of game thing, but it just reminds me of Kaylee on Firefly and her infamous line that I won't quote here.

This one's called a unicorn, but we all know unicorns do not have wings. I'm going to go with the MLP G4 "alicorn" instead. 

Side. This is my least fave. 

Ice Cream and Strawberry. 

I expected the ice cream to be my least favorite, but he's got a ton of detail! 

Editing this post a couple days later, because I got my tenth Aphmau in the mail. I was absolutely shocked to see it was one of the two I was missing!

Now I only need the angel.
