Wow, are we doing Dark Bloom already? I knew she was coming, but I assumed closer to the end.
Griffin faces off with the Trix in the hallway. She demands to know what they were doing in the forest, saying she took them in when no one wanted them and raised them as her own daughters. She says she believed in them, covered for them, and they still disobeyed. Icy starts to protest but Griffin says she can take it all away. Then she asks why they're so interested in Bloom. Icy says not to let Bloom fool her with her good girl act. She's "bad news." Griffin says that will be her problem and punishes them by sealing their magic.
Bloom is in Professor Palladium's potions class and she's doing a good job. Nice. She can't fail at everything. The class is apparently only the Winx and Trix. They could have tossed some backgrounders in here like last time, but no. Let's just make it more unbelievable. Darcy observes that Bloom is getting stronger and Icy says they need to get her power before it's too late.
In the hall, the girls talk about how everyone is getting excited for Musa's debut concert. Aisha starts dancing and everyone is amazed by her. Not sure why, as it's not exactly mind-blowing dancing. The girls all ask why they haven't seen her dance before, and she explains that she's been raised as a king's daughter and she shouldn't love hip hop dancing, because it's the opposite of all of that. Bloom and Flora suggest talking to her parents but Aisha begs them not to say anything, as they're stopping in for a visit soon.
In the Trix lair, Vexius is yelling at everyone. Stormy finally asks what we've all been wondering: Why doesn't he just get Bloom's power himself? Vexius says he can't risk being seen, and Icy points out that with their powers sealed, he's on his own. He says perhaps it's an opportunity for him to take control of the situation. His idea is to bring Bloom to their side and use her as a weapon.
Aisha's parents will be there soon. Bloom asks if she wants any of them along and she says no, then goes off on her own. Meanwhile, Damien is calling for help and Bloom goes to the rescue followed by...no one else. A courtyard full of people including, I'm pretty sure, a resting Specialist, and no one helps. Sigh. Damien lures her into the stable, where Vexius appears. One of his powers is bringing forth the darkness out of someone's heart. He spells her and gives her a way more interesting look than good girl Bloom has. Of course, I did always love Dark Bloom.
So Aisha's parents are stuffy assholes. They judge a lord's son for dancing in public. Here come Bloom and the Trix. Aisha asks if she's okay, as she's changed her look and is hanging with the Trix. Bloom snarks at her and walks away with the Trix, while Aisha calls the other Winx on her wrist phone.
Dark Bloom is hilarious. She sasses the Trix, bumps into people including Wizgiz, and blasts some sort of dark stain onto Diaspro's face. Bloom has a go at Sky and it's pretty fun, though her ammo is weak. The Winx see her and she doesn't bother messing with them, instead choosing to snark at the Trix briefly, saying she's in charge now. Stormy says she hates her even more like this. The Winx try to intervene, saying they'll take her to FG to figure out what's wrong. Bloom says they're trying to capture her and Stella says that's not what they're doing.
TECNA: Actually, yes, it is.
LOVE.
Then we get a Dark Bloom transformation! Even more love. The Winx power up, too. Bloom creates a dark dragon and thankfully, Robin is nearby to film it and presumably show FG. Aisha tells everyone to split up so she can't target them all at once. Tecna holds her off for a little and Musa puts up a good battle before getting knocked down. Bloom is about to blast the fallen Musa when a voice tells her to search for the light inside of herself. The other Winx call out encouragement and Bloom struggles, then falls to the ground, back in her regular form. FG and Griffin arrive.
In FG's office, the Winx accuse the Trix of being behind this, but Griffin says it can't be them because she sealed their magic. FG dismisses them. Griffin says even if they had their powers, this sort of dark magic is beyond them. They both think of someone it might be, but then move on to fixing Bloom. Each Winx is to think of a positive moment they shared with Bloom. Everyone joins hands and forms a circle around her and Bloom is cured.
Back in the dorm, Bloom says she can't remember anything. She heard a voice but didn't see their face. Then she asks what happened while she was out. They break the news that she was mean to everyone, especially Sky.
In the stable, Vexius bitches at everyone like always. He says he'll handle the Winx problem personally.
Bloom is trying to explain what happened to Sky, but he's not responding. Musa suggests she write down her feelings. She herself turns her problems into songs. This turns into a dance party and even Tecna's in there. Then of course, Aisha's parents show up unannounced. They're pissed and there's a definite insult to Stella in there when they go on about royalty not acting this way. That's sadly not addressed. Thankfully, FG appears, having come to check on Bloom, and she says she approves of Aisha's wanting to try new things, as that's what she encourages at Alfea. Her parents cave and give her a hug. After they leave, Aisha says they never hug her. Poor girl. FG asks Bloom how she is and she says back to normal. She's already set fire to her homework.
Later in FG's office, Robin comes in. She shows FG the video and FG says Bloom has the dragonflame. She adds that they're likely not the only ones who know.
END
Well, we finally got some characterization for Aisha, though it's mainly that her parents are the living embodiment of Footloose. And we got a little bit for Musa, though still not much about her personally. I think anyone could have guessed she uses music for a lot.
I'm going to keep my favorites order the same as last time, except nudge Musa in front of Stella for her amazing battle performance. Actually, I think I'll put Musa tied with Aisha ahead of Stella.
