Cleo surprised me by arriving fashionably early. She wasn't supposed to be here until next week, according to her estimated delivery.
Crappy accessories pic. Hey, at least you can see them in the boxed photo.
I LOVE the pyramid Toblerone.
I also really love the salad. There's a lid on the bowl and it's just very nice.
The purse is not at all functional, so it's not my favorite. It's like a big gold lump.
Gotta love leaning Hissette.
And she is practically perfect.
I did not love Core 2.0 Cleo, so this more than makes up for her. She's the only one I wanted from 3.0 and she does not disappoint.
I did have to trim her bangs a little and mine's gold lip line is off center, but I don't even care. She's still stunning.
She's just wow.
Like I'm not even nitpicking the pink and purple, because they're less featured here than on other Cleos.
Not my fave shoes but not awful.
I'm so very, very happy they finally put her in the pants she should have had from day one.
She's going into the very last spot on the coffee table.
She must be in front of me all the time when I'm on the couch.
Love the phone. Like a lot.
I did struggle with getting her to hold the candy, only to end up giving it to Buried Secrets Cleo, who held it perfectly.
I'm just so thrilled with her!

I didn't think I'd enjoy the pinks and purples in her makeup and shirt, but it just works here for me. I know a lot of people don't like the food accessories, but I love when they have interesting food items. I think I might actually have to get her! I'm not really interested in the other ones, maybe Lagoona depending on how she looks in person. I kind of want to put the Skulltimate Secrets 2 Cleo's glitter boots on her.
ReplyDeleteI'm an Egyptologist, so I normally hate when they go outside the Egyptian color palette to add colors like pink and purple, which we already have so much of in the line. I know these girls are modern, but it still annoys me. There's something about what they did here that works though. I especially like the lipstick.
DeleteOh that's so cool! I own 5 Cleo's and noticed they're the ones that stayed with the Egyptian color palette now that I look at them. I'm curious to what know what Cleo doll you think from G3 has the most accurate Egyptian elements and colors to it.
DeleteAny of the ones that don't use pink or purple are about equal to me. They do a good job of using traditional motifs and turning them into modern styles. What I'd love to see is a Cleo that used white fabric, even if it was only once. That would have been the most common color for clothing with the sun bleaching natural linen quite easily. They did have purple, though I think it was much later on and it would have been extremely rare, but you don't see it in the artwork or artifacts, so I don't consider it a true part of the palette.
