REVIEW: Giochi Preziosi Winx Club Iconic TECNA

I'm so excited about this one! I like the new Giochi dolls but not enough to buy all of them, yet this casual outfit Tecna was an absolute must have. 

I love how she has a different hairstyle in both her everyday and Winx forms. 

I also love this outfit. 

Articulation is basic. Her knees have click joints and the arms are only at the shoulders. 

Her legs are quite heavy and rubbery. One of her only flaws is that she doesn't sit very well. It's not the skirt, it's how the legs are connected to the body. 

The socks are full underneath the boots, not cut off like legwarmers. 

I love the material of the outfit, but there are already rub marks on the back from being in the box.

Her hair is super soft. 

It's also cut better than any other non-Japanese short-haired doll I've ever had. It lays really nicely.

Her face is so pretty! She actually has little freckles that likely don't show up in the pics.  

I love her so much! She was well worth importing. The cost wasn't bad and the seller shipped via UPS so there were no additional tariff-based fees. I'm definitely going to get casual wear Musa and maybe Flora, as well as fairy Musa and Tecna eventually.

REVIEW: Regal Academy LingLing Iron Fan

I learned about the LingLing doll from a friend, who then hooked me up with an Italian website where I could actually buy her. Definitely using that site again in the future if I want any Italian dolls. It was easy and she got here fast, even though I'm not too big on DHL, but everything worked out perfectly.

LingLing was added to the Giochi Preziosi Regal Academy line recently. I honestly have not seen any of her episodes yet. I have vowed to catch up on at least 2 shows while on vacation and Regal Academy is one I'm planning on tackling.

From what I've read, LingLing is a warrior character, who's a bit socially inept.

In true Rainbow fashion, the Asian character has blue hair. LingLing shares the same dark yet bright blue as Winx Club's Musa.

I love the Giochi Regal Academy dolls. They've got great articulation and the hands are cute. The worst thing is that due to how they're packaged, they don't stand very well. Their lower legs tend to get warped, so they have to stand with their ankles crossed.

LingLing has really nice hair. It's soft and silky, which I know I say a lot about good doll hair!

I love the color, too. I always loved it on Musa, although I do wish they'd never lengthened her hair.

LingLing's eyes are a yellowish olive green like Joy's.

She wears a dress with a pink top, black waistband and light blue skirt. That's all one piece and it's worn over a separate pair of pink pants.

The clothing quality is decent. The materials used are a bit basic, but not bad.

LingLing's shoes are the same mold as Astoria's, only they're pale pink and black.

I love the faces on these girls. They're very simple, but beautiful.

I think Joy is still my favorite of the dolls, but LingLing is a close second. They look cute standing together and I've added both to my coffee table display of favorite dolls. Joy, Astoria and Rose had been there for quite awhile, but were replaced a few months ago.

If you want LingLing, I believe this is the only way to get her. When I spoke with the employee at Alpha, she told me they had no plans to make LingLing. I haven't seen either of the boy sets available anywhere yet either, so I'm hoping we still get those, but as for LingLing, at the moment, she's Giochi only.

FAVORITES: Disney Fairies

Disney Store Tink

I've been really into Disney Fairies again lately, so I thought I'd look at my favorite doll version of each character. 

I'm going to try to make myself choose only one, but there may be some with two, like Tink. 

I absolutely adore the rather pouty, more sedate original Disney Store Tink. Tink is cute when she smiles, but let's face it, she's an extremely moody character, so I like this take on her when she's not overly bubbly and all smiles. 

Giochi Lost Treasure Tink

The other Tink I adore is Giochi Preziosi's Lost Treasure doll. The detailing on her is wonderful! Her hair is cut perfectly and she's got a little smile, but it's not overbearing. 

Let's keep going with the original book fairies.

I had to start the line with Tink, but second can only be my absolutely fave ever, Vidia. 

 

Disney Store Vidia

The original Disney Store Vidia was so hard to wait for, because they didn't put her, Lily or Bess in with the first release of dolls. But when I finally got her, it was love. Her face is stunningly beautiful and her outfit is very well-designed. I love the choice of materials, especially on the burgundy pieces. 

This Vidia is my #1 favorite Disney Fairies doll. 

Disney Store Rani

Fan favorite Rani got a few dolls, but once the movies took over the merchandise, she was forgotten. Sadly, because she's awesome and I kept waiting for them to do her arrival in the movies or even the arrival of just one of the original book fairies! Sigh. 

Anyway, Rani's best doll is easily her original Disney Store doll. She is second only to Vidia in terms of beauty. Her outfit is gorgeous and her face is just...wow. This doll is part of the reason I made myself get over my original dislike for the character. (I tend to find myself not liking the overly popular characters.) The only flaw of this doll is that the wings on the Disney Store dolls are sewn to the clothing, so she can't be wingless. Rani should always have the option of going wingless.

My favorite toy for Prilla is a bit of an odd choice. From the art, you could see that Prilla was a more curvy fairy, but her toys had the same bodies as the others. The Disney Store doll is cute, the Playmates figure is very cute and my second fave, but the best Prilla item in my opinion is the plush doll from the Disney Store UK. She's the only doll of Prilla that rounds her out a bit more. They did a great job on her shoes, too, which the original doll got way wrong. 

Prilla is pretty much the main character of the original fairy book, so it's disappointing that she got so little merchandise. She really didn't get much when you think about it. 

Playmates 3.5" Fira (variant colors)

Fira has one of the most beautiful designs of the lot, but her original Disney Store doll missed the mark on her. Her 8" Playmates doll is much better, but my favorite Fira is the 3.5" Playmates doll. Her face is so lovely! I only recently got the single-packed one in her regular book clothes, so my choice for fave is the one I've had for years: the variant that came with Beck in a 2-pack. 

Honorable mention for Fira goes to the Disney Store UK plush. Why oh why didn't they make Rani, too? Wah!

Disney Store Beck

If Anne of Green Gables was a blue-eyed fairy, she'd be Beck. This doll is just so cute! Beck was one of the ones I wanted the most originally. I think she's probably my mom's fave. She loves the cute ones that look a little younger. Beck's outfit is also stellar. Loads of detail. I wish they'd gotten the boots right, but the effort is better than what Prilla got anyway! If you look up at the pic of Fira, you can see how Beck's boots are supposed to look. 

Unfortunately, Beck hardly got any toys. This doll and the 3.5" Playmates ones are the only ones I can think of, aside from a couple PVC figures.

Playmates 3.5" Bess

Bess is the fan favorite that I didn't mind. A ton of people loved her, but it never bothered me the way the Rani adoration did. I really don't remember why. Maybe because Rani was weepy and interrupted people a lot, which is one of my pet peeves.  

Like Beck, Bess suffers from massive lack of toys. Her original doll is cute, but this 3.5" is my current favorite. 

Disney Store Lily

Also lacking toys was Lily. Her Disney Store doll is absolutely stunning though and that helps make up for the lack of options. Her outfit is so detailed and all the different materials used are fantastic. 

Playmates 3.5" Queen Clarion

Queen Clarion got a few dolls with her movie look, but I hated the changes done with her for the movies. The only real Clarion toy to me is the Playmates small figure. She's far more interesting in outfits of multiple colors!

There are other book fairies that got toys, but they mostly only got one figure, so I'm leaving Pluck, Iris and Dulcie out. (Even though Iris got two toys, I've only ever owned one.)

I'm also skipping over Terence. He got a few items, but I don't own any anymore, and they never made a toy of his book appearance, which is the best-looking. 

So moving on to the girls popularized by the movies and the reason I started this whole post. 

Giochi Preziosi Rosetta in flower gown

I just got this amazing Rosetta and decided she's the best Rosetta, so I got the idea to make this post. 

I've wanted this flower dress doll and the Silvermist one, too, for years, but I stupidly did not buy them when they came out. Still kicking myself, but slightly less now that I own Rosetta. I lucked into finding an American seller with her for a super price and she arrived today. 

Giochi could really nail an outfit when they wanted to. This dress is just gorgeous. 

So this Rosetta takes the spot from Pirate Fairy Rosetta, but they're practically a tie honestly. I love the deluxe Jakks Rosettas.

Rosetta has had some lovely dolls. I liked the original set of movie dolls from the Disney Store, even though I only have Silvermist left, and she had some pretty regular Jakks dolls, too.

Let's move on to Silvermist, the other one you mostly saw on shelves.

Disney Store Silvermist

Silvermist is a tie. I have to put the original Disney Store doll here, because she's the one that, despite being based on the movie, manages to capture the original serene look of the book character best. Honorable mention to the first Playmates 3.5" Sil for that, too.

My very favorite Sil though has to be the Jakks deluxe edition. Her face is just drop dead gorgeous.

She was much harder to find than the rest of the line, but man, was she ever worth looking for! Her outfit is great, minus the shawl thing, but her face is what makes this doll. 

Giochi Preziosi Lost Treasure Fawn

For the spunky Miss Fawn, we go back to Giochi Preziosi. They really nailed the character and gave her a great detailed outfit to boot. 

I think Jakks could have been a contender here if they'd ever bothered to give Fawn a deluxe doll! She was the main character of the final movie, but she didn't get a deluxe doll then. Ridiculous. We did get this taunting little beauty though. 

Jakks Basic and Neverbeast Fawns

The Neverbeast Fawn has a new headmold that would have been the one used on her deluxe doll, had they ever made one for her. 

One of my biggest disappointments in the entire franchise is that Jakks never made deluxes for Vidia, Iridessa and Fawn. Really epically dropped the ball there, Jakks.

Giochi Lost Treasure Iridessa

Giochi really nailed Iridessa just like they did Fawn. I've never seen an Iridessa so perfect. Neither Jakks nor the Disney Store could even come close. 

There are some other movie characters that got dolls, like Zarina, Glimmer and Chloe, Marina (one small doll that I don't have), and Periwinkle and Spike. 

Zarina's best is her deluxe. Glimmer and Chloe only got one larger doll and one smaller doll each, so obviously I like the larger ones. Spike is my second fave after Vidia, so her large and small dolls are both treasured, but not worth picturing because there are only the two to choose from. 

So that leaves Perwinkle for the last doll. She's gotten a LOAD of them. However, I somehow do not have a photo of my favorite Peri! She's the deluxe Jakks one that's not from the first line or the Pirate Fairy, although Pirate Fairy is also amazing. I'm going to have to use a group shot. 

She's in the middle of the shelf between Spike and Tink. I love the dress on that doll and I was so happy when they got her hair right after giving the first deluxe a ponytail. 

So that about wraps things up! I don't think I missed anyone, but let me know if I did.

REVIEW: Regal Academy Rose

Rose arrived yesterday, much faster than I expected! I'm so glad I got her, because these girls are just too cute.

Rose is part of the basic Regal Academy line. I reviewed Joy and Astoria last month.

The dolls are made by Giochi Preziosi.

I didn't take a separate photo of her accessories this time, but you can see them in the box here. Same My Little Pony G3 brush as the others and same Hi-Glamm shoes, only her stuff is all pink.

Rose is a cutie pie. She has the wildest hair of the three, because Astoria's is contained by her ribbon and Joy's is, well, short. It's pretty nice hair though. I brushed it without fear of it instantly going dry and frizzy like the old Giochi Winx hair.

Rose is the granddaughter of Cinderella, hence the shoe on her top. Her pink tee and jacket are all one piece, similar to the other girls' designs.

I like her shoe mold a lot. I really don't know why they even included the Hi-Glamm mold shoes, because their own are too cute to take off!

Due to the way they were packaged all the girls like to stand with their right foot crossed over their left. Joy is the one that stands the best not in this pose. I don't really mind, since it looks cute.

I'm happy to have Rose and I think these girls are just plain adorable. Now I just need to watch more of the show!

REVIEW: Regal Academy Joy and Astoria

Regal Academy is a cartoon series done by the same people that produced Winx Club. It debuted last spring in Europe and on Nickelodeon here in the US in August. 

Honestly, I've only watched two episodes. I like it. It's goofy fun. But I can't speak much about the characters or plot yet, because I've barely scratched the surface, so if I get anything wrong, let me know. 

The series is basically Winx meets Ever After High. The main character Rose gets a key that takes her into FairyTale Land, where she learns she's the granddaughter of Cinderella. So unlike EAH, these aren't the sons and daughters, but a step more removed. Rose begins to attend Regal Academy, a school for these fairy tale descendants. Each character has a specific type of magic that they wield using a magic wand.

I had seen stuff about this series, but kept writing it off until I stumbled across the Joy doll on ebay from an Italian seller I've bought from many times. She was so cute with her short, mint green hair and big eyes that I had to have her. I watched a couple eps of the show and decided to purchase Astoria, the granddaughter of Rapunzel, along with her. I wavered between her and Rose for a bit, but ultimately, Astoria won out. (I did just buy Rose tonight though! I'll do a separate review for her once she arrives.)

These dolls are extremely cute and it's nice to see Giochi finally get into the world of articulated bodies. They did a pretty good job. I wish we'd seen these on some of the Winx dolls! 

Joy has short hair that's got what I refer to as "the goth bangs." They come to a point in the middle of her forehead. She also has an angled cut, so her hair is similar to Mal's from Descendants, but the longer pieces are shorter than Mal's. 

Her hair is pretty sparsely-rooted. It does cover her head, but there's not much to work with there.

Joy has big olive green eyes and wears hot pink lipstick. 

Her layered tops are actually only one piece, but I don't really mind. They still look good. She's got a purple crop top with a crowned frog on it (she's got some extremely froggy habits in the show) worn over a green striped longer shirt that tucks under her skirt and there's a short vest over the top. All that is one piece. Then her skirt goes on over her long striped leggings. She has one striped arm warmer, which I had trouble getting off until I realized her arms come apart at the elbows! I didn't expect that from Giochi, so good job on them. 

The body is quite nice. I particularly like the hand shape and the range of motion is decent. 

One thing that I don't care for is the reuse of items from different lines. 

Each of the girls in this signature "Real Friends" line comes with a pair of high heels as well as the shoes they wear in the box. I recognized these heels right away as being from the old Hi-Glamm line. As soon as I undressed Joy, I saw that she wasn't on anything like the Hi-Glamm body so how did the shoes work? 

The answer is they don't. The shoes fit onto Joy's feet fine, but to have both heel and toe flat on the ground like a person would actually stand, Joy has to have her knee bent. And it's a pretty drastic bend, as you can see from this photo. My Hi-Glamm Kit is there to show how these should actually be worn. 

Thankfully, the shoes the girls come wearing are super cute, so I wouldn't even want to use these heels anyway. 

One more thing before we get into clothing exchanges. Look at this expression. Ha! I l love Joy. I love her bangs, but I also kinda wish they were shorter so these brows could be seen. 

So these girls have a thicker body, which means the usual question of MH/EAH is a no. The shoes wouldn't work either, even though Joy's got some big feet, because the angle is all wrong. 

I grabbed the doll nearest to me and put her clothes on Joy. 

That's the dress from Project MC2's basic Ember doll. I even got the shoes on there, but not every pair of shoes will work. Neither of my Adrienne's shoes worked on her, so they have to be more closed in. The dress fits great though. 

I know Descendants are also similar in size, so I grabbed Jewelbilee Mal and gave Joy a dragon dress.

The dress works perfectly, though she has to bend her knees a little to wear the shoes. Not as much as with her own purple heels though!

I'm not a big redresser anymore, especially when the stock outfits are so cute, but it's nice to know these girls do have some options. 

Time for Astoria to take over for a bit. I was a little hesitant to pick the Rapunzel girl for my second doll, because Giochi long hair is not the best. I have the Winx mermaids with their insanely long hair and it frizzes very easily. Astoria's feels nicer though and since it's nicely tied at the end with a ribbon, I'm not going to take that out and brush it. No tempting frizz fate! She is just as sparsely-rooted as Joy, so that's just something to expect from this line. Don't buy them with the intention of restyling their hair, because if you change its position, the scalp may show through. 

Astoria has a different expression than Joy, which suits her quite well. I can't wait to see Rose's eyebrows. She's such a goofy character that I hope she looks at least a little bit funny.

Astoria's eyes are turquoise and her lips are a darker pink than Joy's. 

She wears a top that's also meant to look layered, but it works a little better than Joy's because it's not a vest. Vests that open in the back and aren't real vests throw me off a bit, even though one-piece tops really don't bother me much. The top is actually three different materials, too. The sleeves are different from the rest of the yellow. 

There's Astoria's nice, long hair. She can turn her hair into vines in the show, which is really neat. Kinda wish there was a vine in there somewhere! 

And finally, here's a shot of the girls' kinda useless pair of heels and their brushes. 

Remember I said mentioned the reuse of items from other lines? Well, Hi-Glamm was Giochi's own line, but those brushes are from Hasbro's My Little Pony line from the early 2000s! They were useless on ponies, so they're really gonna be useless on dolls.

Despite the show being on in the US, right now we don't have these dolls. I'm not sure if we're going to be getting any products for the line at all. So the only way to get these is by importing. They cost me more than your average playline doll, obviously, but I think they were worth it. 

I'll be back with more Regal Academy in a couple weeks when Rose arrives. In the meantime, I'm going to watch more episodes of the show! 

Did I mention the Snow White descendant is a boy? That's pretty neat.

OVERVIEW: Winx Club Part 2 Witty, Jakks and Beyond

Witty Toys Concert Flora

Okay, a quick note. When the new Season 4 dolls first came out, we called them the Simba dolls, but they're actually all Witty Toys dolls. Simba apparently is a distributor. Something like that. I just looked it up and read it from a source I think is reliable, so we're just gonna go with it. Call 'em what you want. I'll be referring to the entire line as Witty, even though initially, I knew them as Simba.

SO.

When Winx returned to the air with Season 4, neither Mattel nor Giochi Preziosi were doing the dolls. Mattel had that one random concert line, but I'm not sure if that had anything to do with Season 4 at all. Witty was the new name in Winx dolls and for awhile, they were the only company putting any on the shelves.

I was pretty excited about the Witty dolls, because their faces looked absolutely beautiful and the clothes! I really wanted the Concert line, because I love dark colors and the Winx were finally wearing them.

I got Concert Flora, Musa and Tecna on May 21, 2009. And it was love. The makeup detailing on the early Witty faces is beyond anything any other company has ever done. Period. The end. Stella, Bloom and Aisha followed on June 10th.

Witty's Believix line

I don't remember the details of release order but it wasn't until September that I got my first Witty Believix doll. I LOVE Believix. I like the transformations that are pretty, but also functional. Harmonix is terrible because no one could swim in those ridiculous outfits. Enchantix was too skimpy. One of their Enchantix spells must have been "keep top from falling off." But the original outfits and Believix? Those looked like outfits these girls could battle and fly comfortably in. (And Bloomix is the ultimate, but we'll get to that.)

I cleared a big space on my wall to do my first ever flying Winx display. Believix Flora was my first. I had to import all the dolls, so deciding who to buy often came down to which ones had the best deal. But Flora was my favorite during Season 4, so she got to be first. Aisha came next in November, followed a few days later by Stella and Musa. Bloom came a couple weeks after that, with Tecna a couple days later, and Roxy just a few days after Tecna. I love the Witty Believix dolls. Their wings may be flimsy, but they are perfectly beautiful and the best Witty line.

I had gotten City Roxy with Believix Flora. I love Roxy's signature look, but I was disappointed they didn't get her hair right and her expression was a little off compared to the other girls. Believix Roxy has a prettier face.

In 2011, I got into Pop Pixie a little bit and the Believix figures, then we started seeing pictures for the Jakks Pacific dolls. Yes, Winx was coming back to American toy stores! Very exciting.

But I'm going to ignore chronological order and finish talking about my Witty collection before moving on.

I got a deal on City Musa on ebay and she was with me for awhile before being sold. Then I got into my second fave early Witty line: Hallowinx.

Witty Hallowinx 

Semi-gothed out Winx dolls? You know I was down for that! I got Musa in May 2012, and Bloom, Stella and Flora in early June. I wish the other girls had gotten their looks made into dolls.

After that, I was pretty obsessed with Jakks for awhile. I wouldn't get a new Witty doll until I won a friend's Tumblr giveaway in July 2013. I received a Charmix Flora and remembered how beautiful these dolls were. So I started picking them up again, mostly from an Asian seller (I can't remember the exact location) that had great deals. In October 2013, I got Lovix Tecna and Musa and Season 5 casual Tecna and Musa. Then nothing until October 2014 when I got a City Tecna. I always regretting missing out on her way back when I got City Musa.

Witty Season 6 Trix

Eventually, Witty dolls turned into weird hybrids of Jakks dolls and their own. They got more stable wings like Jakks and the heads were Jakks, but elements of the bodies were still Witty. The days of the beautifully detailed makeup were over.

But Witty did whip out one final awesome collection: THE TRIX. Yeah, the hair isn't quite right and the makeup isn't as bold as it should be, but still. It's THE TRIX. And they're my favorites. These three hold a permanent display spot on my coffee table where I see them every day.

Pop Pixie Tune and Cherie

Let's jump back to 2011. We didn't get Pop Pixie when it came out. (Did we ever get Pop Pixie? I'm not even sure.) But I did like the design of some of the dolls. I got Cherie, who I loved, pretty early on in March. I didn't get anything else until December 2011, when I got the Cherie plush toy. I wish I'd gotten more plush! A year after Cherie, I got Tune, Pam and Caramel in March 2012. I picked up some mini figures a couple years ago, but that's been the extent of my Pop Pixie collecting.

Speaking of 2011, the big news was that Winx was coming back to America. FINALLY. Jakks Pacific won the rights to produce the dolls and in September, we got a tiny peek at some sketches and a prototype Bloom in a Youtube video.

It wasn't until February 2012, at Toy Fair natch, that we finally got to see the dolls. The initial lines were Believix, Casual and Concert, all three featuring all six Winx girls. A basic line of Bloom, Stella and Flora was also there, as well as plush toys of the seven Love and Pet characters. Sadly, only 3 of the pets were ever made: Bloom's Kiko, Flora's cat Coco and Aisha's bunny Milly. I'm still irritated that I don't have a plush of Musa's bear. He was my fave.

In June, we got our first Winx dolls on the shelves! And that's when we all discovered just how poor the decision-making is at Jakks. Their idea of a case assortment is THREE Blooms, 1 Stella, 1 Flora and Tecna OR Musa OR Aisha. You can imagine how frustrating it was in those early days when the ones you wanted most were Tecna and Musa.

The Jakks bodies were pretty cool and the outfits, while not really trying to be show accurate, were nice. Though I still don't get why it was so hard to make appropriate footwear. You're making new molds anyway, right? Just do the shoes based on the show. Yeesh. The deluxe dolls had a good bit of articulation, while the basic lines had less. My biggest issue, aside from finding the right characters at my stores, was the hair. Poor Flora especially had bad hair. Bloom and Aisha didn't fare well either.

Eventually, I ended up with Believix Tecna, Flora, Musa and Aisha. Then I picked up all the Concert girls except Flora. (I am very devoted to my Witty Concert Flora.)

Jakks Sky and SDCC exclusive Blue Believix Bloom

I was a bit surprised to learn that we'd be getting a Winx exclusive from San Diego Comic Con. It was a neat Blue Believix Bloom and she was also available on TRU.com. Her pearly skin, extra makeup and the black touches on the outfit made her a must have for me.

Oh, and on top of having to struggle to find the right characters in the regular doll lines, Jakks also put out action figures. Now I'd been wanting Winx action figures for years, because it's an action show and they'd be perfect. Well, the Jakks ones were really well-made, but tracking them all down was practically impossible. It took me ages to get all six Concert girls and all six Believix girls. The casual outfit dolls were also a problem. I had to have help getting Casual Musa! I just could not find her.

Jakks Target exclusive Icy

In August, Target got an exclusive multi-pack with 4 dolls. Bloom, Stella and Flora were in their Enchantix outfits. Talk about a throwback! But the most exciting thing was that the fourth doll was none other than ICY in her witch outfit. She is stunningly gorgeous and one of my favorite Jakks dolls. Jakks put out a bazillion exclusives. Most of them were just Blooms, but one two-pack did have Sky, so that was nice.

The character left out though? The most obvious one who should have been included: ROXY. Jakks started putting out these dolls for Season 4 and she never got one.

We got to see promos of the Harmonix dolls in November and that's when the cuts started to happen. Now I dislike Harmonix. As I mentioned above, it's one of my least favorite transformations. Actually, it is probably my very least favorite. It just makes no sense. But did I want Harmonix Musa and Tecna dolls? YES. And guess who got cut from the line. Yeah. Those two. They weren't even in the action figure line. However, someone more exciting was.

THE TRIX. Oh, YES. These were also a pain to hunt down. I ordered Darcy and Stormy from TRU.com, got my two Darcys (one to keep boxed that didn't end up staying boxed because I wanted her to do her replicating thing in a photo) and Stormy got cancelled on me, while other people got theirs. I was mad. But I just ordered her and Icy on ebay anyway.

The basic line that came out this toy season was Bloom, Stella, Flora and Aisha in some pretty outfits. I got all four, but they were harder to find and I ended up selling Bloom and Flora. I still have Stella and Aisha, because they were the best ones.

Jakks Sirenix and Dark Sirenix

In July 2013, I spotted the Sirenix dolls on Taobao. I was excited because Musa and Tecna were back. But I also spotted something else that blew my mind. Jakks...MADE DARCY AND STORMY. Yes, Icy, too, but Jakks would become only the second company (at the time, as Witty's came much later) to produce dolls of these two characters. My first and second favorite characters, mind you. They turned their cool tentacles into lame butterfly wings, but still. I ordered Darcy and Stormy from Taobao and waited impatiently for Icy to show up at Toys R Us. Then it took until October to complete my Winx Sirenix set.

Jakks Bloomix Bloom

When we got our first look at Bloomix from Season 6, I fell in love. Bloomix outfits were like the love children of superhero costumes and fairy fashion. They were perfect. So of course, I was worried about getting dolls. I thought Jakks might be done, because we'd seen at least one basic doll series go by unmade. Thankfully though, Bloomix made it to shelves! And they were finally in a proper case, so I was able to buy all six at once. Bloomix is mt favorite line by Jakks, aside from anything involving the Trix. The Bloomix outfits are very complex, so I didn't expect true accuracy, but aside from the repeat headbands and armbands, they didn't do half bad.

The Bloomix dolls would be the final Jakks items I bought.

I do however still collect Winx and my collection keeps moving forward when it can.

In 2013, I started picking up "fixer upper" Giochi dolls off ebay. These may not be perfect, mostly in the hair department, but the price is right! I got the first season dance outfit Musa and Tecna. Then I got into the Enchantix dolls again. I still had my original Aisha and Stella, but I got a great deal on boxed Flora and Tecna, so I got them all up on the wall in a flying display.

In early 2014, I got Millennium Ball Musa as a fixer-upper. I used to have Millennium Bloom and Stella, but sold them and always missed them, so I gradually collected this line back in fixer-upper condition. Musa came first, followed by Tecna sometime in 2014 I think, Aisha in December 2015, and Flora and Stella in April and May 2016 respectively. My Tecna is actually my old Birthday Ball Tecna doll wearing the Millennium outfit. I wanted her to have the shorter hair with that dress, and the Millennium doll wearing the Birthday Ball outfit has a new home.

Along with Millennium Musa in January 2014, I picked up Nesia, the pink-haired mermaid. In August 2015, I got her friends Tala and Talassia, followed by a new in box Amarea in December. The mermaids are my most wanted Winx items right now. I'd love to have Coralia and Kalia to complete my set, and someday I hope to upgrade Nesia and Tala with boxed dolls. (Talassia's actually in great condition except for her missing wings.)

In January 2014, I actually got my first Mattel doll in many years! I picked up Biker Flora from Europe. Now Biker Stella is pretty much my only Mattel want.

Later in 2014, I got five of the six bobblehead Love and Pet toys. I'm missing only Coco, Flora's cat. Maybe someday!

Giochi Amarea

In February of this year, I discovered a 13" Giochi line I never knew existed. It was the outfits from the Grounded episode! I love that Flora outfit and even in the different colors, I really loved it. So I bought her from a helpful seller in Italy, and also picked up a fixer-upper lot of Winx for Grounded Musa.

So mostly these days, I'm looking for Giochi items. Mermaids Kalia and Coralia. My precious Eveningwear 2 Tecna and Bloom. Millennium Ball Bloom. I'd love that Stella in the neon orange ruffled top like the Mattel Shopping Stella wears. I still need Enchantix Musa to finish my wall. (She's there, but I refuse to overpay for Enchantix dolls.) I've never seen Grounded Stella, but I'd probably want her. Mattel-wise, I just want Racer Stella, who's annoyingly hard to find. I wouldn't say no to Rainwear Musa or any of the Concert dolls, but the likelihood of that is pretty nil. I might pick up some Giochi pixies. The older ones, not Pop Pixie. And I do need that bobblehead Coco kitty! Oh, and I'd love the Witty ice-skating Roxy. I always meant to get her and didn't. Or really any other Roxy dolls except the super basic ones. One of my most wanted items is also kinda random.

I've had these big figural keychains for many years, but I've never gotten Flora. I don't know if Muss and Tecna even exist, but I know Flora does. I saw her once in a ridiculously-priced auction. (Think $200 or more.) I'd love to have her, but like most Winx things, I figure it will never happen.
