REVIEW: Jakks DC SUPERGIRL

Supergirl was also not my favorite, but honestly, it's hard to compete with Harley and Ivy. They're so nostalgic.

I was definitely won over by that smoky eyeshadow. Without that, I'm not sure I would have bought this doll.

No eyeshadow here.

She has my least favorite outfit and boots, but there's something about her that I still like.

Am I just that much of a sucker for a smoky eye? Is it the upcoming movie version, which I like, that made me want her more? Quite possibly to both.

She had the most gel, but it washed out quickly.

The cape though. I think this is the best done doll cape ever. Again, I don't love that they punch holes in it for displaying in the package, but this material is stronger than Ivy's so it's less obvious.

It's a nice, heavy cape. Very dramatic. And I like that it velcros on spots on her shoulders.

Very pretty.

Okay, Krypto as a purse was a choice.

Not a choice I would have made. I wish he was just a dog. She didn't need a purse.

He's flocked and cute, but it's still kinda weird, you know?

The cape really brings her together.

So yeah, A+ to this doll line. There are definitely some tweaks I'd make, but they're very minor. I hope we see many more characters in the future. They've got to do Wonder Woman and Batgirl. I feel like they're obvious choices. I'd love to see ones we never got in DCSG like my beloved Miss Martian or Star Sapphire. Oh, Big Barda! Zatanna! Killer Frost! Yeah. So many options.

Jakks seems to be throwing its hat in the ring as a pop culture doll maker, with this line, Scooby Doo and the horror one coming up. If they're all this good, my wallet is ready.
