VINTAGE REVIEW: Barbie Uptown Chic and Moonlight Magic

I've wanted this doll for a long time, but for some reason, she tends to slip my mind. Well, I finally remembered and got her on eBay!

Uptown Chic is a collector doll from 1998. I'm not sure which store she was originally sold at, since the price tag didn't have a name, but her price was a pretty steep $52. Definitely expensive for a Barbie back in those days.

I adore the colors.

She comes with a very old school "cell phone" that I tucked in her purse. The purse opens and closes with a little hole fitting over around bead, and those glasses are metal. Very nice quality.

She's so cute. I love her short hair!

I also picked up this Shani outfit.

For my Black Moonlight Magic Barbie!

That long skirt is to die for. I think I need some more pieces from the Shani line. I used to have the ballgown dolls, but they didn't fare well after the hurricane. This is a great outfit though. It makes me sad thinking of what's on the shelf now, fashion pack-wise. Sigh.

And now I've got a new couple for my Barbie shelves!

Love them both.
