Magic Mixies Mixlings NEON MAGIC CHEAT CODES

No cauldron pic because I was too excited to open them and then my mom took out the trash, including the box with the cauldrons, before I thought about keeping one. Whoops.

So the Neon Magic series was only sold in Europe, I believe. I never expected to get them, but ended up doing a trade.

I'm going to put the codes alongside the photos instead of at the bottom.

So basically there are 6 pair in 6 themes. One is brighter, one is darker.

These two are Enchanters, so their eyes flip.

JIPS: 4-9

JILLI: 5-0

These two are Morphlings with the long necks.

I'd like to note that Azak is shown as green in the checklist. He is not. That was disappointing. He's cute but would have been cuter in lime green.

AZAK: 5-2

ANNY: 5-2

Anny is possibly my favorite from the set.

These are Vanishers, though I haven't tested them.

I actually like the brighter one, Lixon, better here. Lorryn is shown as much darker on the checklist, but she's a pretty vivid neon blue.

LIXON: 5-3

LORRYN: 5-4

Charmlings

I love both of these, but I prefer Bohip just a smidge.

BOHIP: 5-5

BONNIE: 5-6

These are Spell Gazers, the ones where you can flip their faces.

I love the dark one, Hapazu. He's the darkest of all the mixlings across every series. He's my other one that's a possible favorite. Either him or Anny. Or hell, let's just say both.

HIKTAK: 5-7

HAPAZU: 5-8

And finally, the Castlings.

FLOOSH: 5-9

FLUZZY: 6-0

These may not even be in stores anymore, but I wanted to post the codes just in case they end up helping someone.

REVIEW: Magic Mixies Pixlings HOWLEXA

Yay, Howlexa made it!

Her moon is purple with yellow on it, and her symbol is an oval gem.

Instant love.

Now some people might think I'm being too hard on Tiggz about the repeat color scheme issue, because Howlexa isn't the most unique colors, but I still find her quite different from both Catlyn and Unia, who are somewhat similar in color.

Love this makeup! It's so detailed!

It's also nice to see something darker, which is why Howlexa is such a standout.

From the side.

Her hair is sleek and straight.

The other side.

My only nitpick about her is those ears. Don't get me wrong, I think they look great, but they don't really feel like wolf ears. They're a bit too large and the points on the end aren't wolfy. I wonder if she was initially supposed to be a bat, as that's what the ears make me think of.

Officially, according to her pamphlet, she is a Black Star Wolf.

A little howl.

Definitely one of my top favorites. Three-way tie between her, Angelica and Nebula. Because I could not possibly choose between them.

I love that they've finally done a darker girl, even though they also lean into the usual dark purple/blue/pink to make it happen.

REVIEW: Magic Mixies Pixlings TIGGZ

I was happy to finally be able to order the two newest Pixlings, but I have to admit, I'm disappointed Tiggz showed up first. They were both scheduled for today, but Howlexa is running into delays out in CA. I'm not sure what's going on or why they need to keep updating that she's delayed every few hours. Still hoping she magically gets here soon, because it took Tiggz no time to get from CA to NC.

Her moon is yellow with a lightning bolt.

And here she is.

I want to like her. I really do. I'm just so sick of the various combos of yellow, orange, pink and purple they keep doing. She comes right on the heels (hooves?) of Firensa, who also has dark pink and purple hair, also is orange, and has a similar outfit color scheme. (Gold instead of Tiggz's yellow and Firensa also uses red, but still. It's close.)

Why in the world does she have a purple tail? It should have been orange.

I do love her claws and the stripes on her arms and legs.

I don't get the need to make her a "lightning tiger." It's like Firensa. Why does she have to be a fire horse? They don't all need some sort of elemental connection.

I've seen comparisons to Toralei, but they're too superficial for me. An orange feline who smirks. I get it, but it's too much of a stretch for me to really consider it, because she lacks the rest of Toralei's vibe.

I like her expression a lot, but I hate that these are blind, because mine has some of her white fang paint on her lips and her upper lip has a chip.

I'm guessing these are fur legwarmers over shoes, but they could also be boots.

Her heels are lightning bolts.

The crimpy hair is what solidifies it.

Tiggz reminds me of Cave Club. I remember someone else saying that and I was like "ehhhh," but no. Spot on. Something about the hair, the colors, the expressive face, the legwarmers, the jagged print on her dress.

That's exactly where I ended up displaying her. With my Cave Club dolls.

From the side.

And a final photo.

I by no means dislike her. She's a cute doll. I just think she could have been so much better. Ditch the lightning theme. Make her hair orange with black streaks. Make her tail orange. Redesign the outfit.

Please stop using the same colors, Moose!

Pixlings Ranking

It's been eternity since I did a ranking. I always planned to do one for the entirely of Hairdorables, but that never happened. Pixlings though are a small line and so it's pretty easy.

From least fave to fave.

You'd think I would like Flitta better, but there's something about her. Maybe it's because a similar color scheme was used on another two dolls and I like those better. Maybe it's because she seems a little over the top compared to others. Maybe it's the weird hair.

While I like seeing her ears, I'm just not a big fan of this version of Deerlee.

Original Marena is extremely cute, but I feel like she's lacking something. Maybe it's the plain hairstyle or the round forehead jewel. I'm not sure.

I really thought I'd like Pheona better than I do, but here she is. I absolutely love her face and whatever those things on her head are. Love that she's wearing pants, but they're the most boring pants ever. She'd be much higher if they stopped doing this same color scheme and had the guts to make her red instead of pink.

This version of Unia is very endearing because of how she looks up at you super cutely with her hair pulled back so you can really see her adorable ears. The giant ears are totally my favorite part of this line.

Faye is elevated a lot by the use of green in her design. It's not a lot, but it's enough. She also has a very cute face.

New Faye is superior to old Faye.

Now it's getting tough. I adore Wynter and how bright white she is. She's also got my favorite shade of pink hair, that milky lighter pink.

Bearlinda nudged her way ahead of Wynter only because of her face. There is something about her face that I am absolutely in love with.

New Marena is quite an upgrade on the original and that big smile shows that she knows it.

I love the brown elements on Deerlee (except for the weird fur on the skirt), but her Asian touches are my favorite things. She has a great paint job and a hairstyle that really complements it.

Amber is stunning. I wish they'd do more green ones. I love her face and hairstyle.

Catlyn just squeaked it out over Amber. Barely. She has the superior outfit and boots, plus her face is superb. The shooting star whiskers are genius, and I love her nose and the shape of her mouth.

Firensa beat out Catlyn by a hair. I had to stare at them both here on my coffee table to decide.

Unia's name was originally Celeste and I hated the name Unia when I first heard the change. So this girl is Celeste. The new one with the braids is Unia. She was my first favorite and remains very high on the list. Her face deco is brilliant and I'm a sucker for that crimped hair.

So these top two are a tie. I can't possibly choose between them. Nebula is more my style and I adore her sweet face. Also love dragonflies.

And then Angelica is not my usual taste, but she uses one of my favorite doll color schemes. The pale pinks with that beautiful, milky pale yellow combined with the rose gold-esque elements makes for perfection. She's like what if Fluttershy were a Pixling. She even has the sweet face to match.

So yeah, tie for first between Nebula and Angelica.

REVIEW: Magic Mixies Pixlings BEARLINDA

My Bearlinda arrived from Amazon today.

I wasn't really excited about this one, but I can't resist a Pixling.

And she surprised me with that face. She has a lot of lovely painted detail on her forehead, eyes and cheeks. I like that her eyes are done in darker blue and the lips are darker pink. She's got excellent contrast.

She really is very lovely except for the damn ears. That's the only "polar bear" thing on her. It's like they wanted to make a cloud theme but felt they needed an animal attached. I don't know why. Just make her a cloud sprite or something.

Failed at showing the detail on these. Like all Pixlings footwear, they're cute.

Her hair is in these twists that I'm leaving in place.

I did not expect her to make it to the coffee table with my other faves, but she's out here. There are some that aren't here that I do like better than her, but for the moment, I want to see her more often.

Now to wait impatiently for the next series!

REVIEW: Magic Mixies Pixlings PIPPA

Ugh, Pippa. No. I'm sticking with her original name of Fiery Firensa. So much better.

I've had this girl since before the hurricane. I think?

I took photos of her, planning on doing a review and never got to, because we've been out of wifi for almost a month. It just came back on a couple hours ago! It would have been a month tomorrow morning.

When the designs for these first came out, I was annoyed that both fiery creatures used no red. None on Pheona, none on Firensa.

Well, maybe her skirt is red? I honestly can't tell if that's red or dark pink.

While I still think it's a poor choice, I absolutely fell in love with Firensa.

She has a bit wider set eyes than the others and it's gorgeous.

Cute shoes.

Gorgeous hair.

Her little faux tail is amusing.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, stunning, stunning. I still love Nebula most, but Firensa's shot way farther up my list than I ever could have imagined.
