I don't have words for how excited I am that they chose Gozer. I LOVE Ghostbusters. I grew up watching it and the Real Ghostbusters cartoon and reading the Real Ghostbusters comic. I have a lot of the current comic. I fell away from comics after the hurricane, so I dunno if they've continued, but I have every issue up until then.
All that to say I'm a huge fan. I've loved Gozer's design since childhood and this doll almost nails it.
A lot of people naysayed this doll but they're just boring. I particularly loved the one that claimed this movie was "too old" to be relevant to the current fanbase. Uh...do you know the movies the original G1 characters are based on? They're A LOT OLDER.
She's amazing. The only thing that I can nitpick is the hair.
Which I fixed. A little water and some combing and mussing and she's got spikier hair like in the movie.
Young Lori would be freaking out over this.
Absolutely love the hands.
She is a dream come true.
And that is why you don't put down Mattel's choices. Just because something isn't for you doesn't mean it isn't for ANYONE. There have been plenty of dolls I skipped, but you didn't see me all up in the comments saying how bad or unnecessary they were. Because that's not following the message of Monster High.
One of my favorite Skullectors, hands down.
