I give many thanks to ASMZine for being the only one so far to cover Hearts For Hearts Girls. They have brought us the amazing news that we are getting a NEW CHARACTER.
This is Aya, a Syrian refugee.
Isn't she stunning?
Mosi has been my favorite for years, but Aya might give her a run for her money. She is just so beautiful. I can't even find the words. I'm so incredibly happy right now, even though I'm wide awake struggling with my allergies when I should be sleeping, as I have to get up at 6:30.
I am not sure yet which older characters make up the 2017 HFHG lineup, but it looks like all the girls are in the Toy Fair gallery. Not clearly shown in the photos, but I think they're in the gallery space itself.

ETA: I just saw an article that says she's coming "this spring!" Along with Tipi and Lauryce. Oh, man! This is the best dolly news this year!

ReplyDeleteUnless there was little interest...or unless (I am guessing) someone complained about some perceived cultural insensitivity...I do hope this beautiful doll is put on matket.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know, she's in the works for 2019. This year's dolls are rereleases of Mosi and Shola. The original release of Mosi had a long delay, so it's possible they're just working out some detail or another. It can take a long time.

DeleteThey just started selling these in Dubai, and Shola and Indian (sorry forgot her name!) are incredibly popular . This one will surely sell out when/if they bring her, as the country are big supporters of her ccause.I like Tipi..they have an offer when you buy three so I'm not sure who else to get!

DeleteI want this doll as well...along with Surjan from Nepal! Has Aya been released yet? Will Sujan be re-released? I am trying to foster an awareness of the global sitserhood that needs to exist for my 10 year old granddaughter, Fionna. Well, she will be 10 this coming January 27, 2021. That's the age these dolls are supposed to be. PLEASE let me know how I can get these two beautiful little ones. They are the only 2 I don't yet have. I'd like to give the set to Fi on her 10th birthday. It would be nice if they made an Irish doll... They could name her after my Fi!

I wish I had some good news for you, but HFHG has been quiet on Facebook for months. I'm not sure we'll be getting any more new dolls.
DeleteI really want Aya because she looks exactly like my daughter-in-law. I am assuming that there will be grandchildren in my future so I thought that a doll that looks like "Mom" would be a good thing to give! As it is not looking very positive, would you happen to know which face sculpt Aya has? Because if I have to do a curly re-root and repaint I will!

Aya has Consuelo's sculpt, which was used for Consuelo, Mosi and Nyesha.
