REVIEW: Pixie Supremes LUNA

Like most adult collectors, I was very unhappy at the price point on these Supremes.

Now that I've opened one, I'm even more unhappy.

Cheap stand.

Potion ingredients.

Giant overpriced hunk of talking plastic.

I actually went through the reveal process. Fizzed the moon crystal out of the potion ingredients and followed the steps the mirror instructed to open the door.

BEWARE! There's confetti! I hate confetti.

Very disappointed her wand doubles as a brush, making it too silly-looking to display her with.

Her shoes are pretty.

Face is very pretty.

Hair is nice.

The outfit quality is okay, but not nearly as good as it needed to be.

Simple body.

I am far from an articulation snob, but for the price point of these sets, this doll could easily have had wrist joints.

Luna is a pretty doll, but I think the regular Pixlings are far better designed. It's clear with this set that you're paying for the stupid talking mirror that's a glorified magic 8 ball. The doll could have benefitted from wrist articulation, better materials on the outfit, molded details on the arms and legs, fancier wings, a better stand, and a wand that was not a brush. Moose releasing not one, not two, but THREE of these dolls and ALL of them have the mirror is not their best idea. They're also very similar designs. If you really like the style of these, I'd say pick your favorite one of the three and save your money on the other two. They're pretty, but simply not worth the cost.

REVIEW: Magic Mixies Pixlings FAYE

Faye has arrived, thus completing my main Shimmerverse core set.

Faye has the green moon on her bottle.

We just got Faye in the second wave of original Pixlings, but this one is such an improvement that I can't complain.

The first one is great, too, but I love this one.

Cute shoes.

She has a little wrist cuff on the same arm that her long bang hangs over. I would have put it on the other arm. Literally my only nitpick about this doll.

Always happy for some green.

Lovely!

Now I just need Bearlinda and the Galaxy Hair line.

REVIEW: Monster High Fearbook Toralei

Always excited for another short-haired Toralei.

All her musician stuff.

Jacket.

This is definitely the doll I'm putting with the Hissfits. The Hissfits one can go stand with my Monster Ball dolls.

I get why they don't do full stockings, as the shoes would typically make them rip, but I kept having to adjust hers, so they could have been more fitted at the bottom to help keep them in place.

I washed the gel out of her hair.

I kept seeing people make Karen jokes about this doll. This is NOT a Karen haircut. It's simply a bob. The Karen is a very specific style and most short cuts are nothing like it.

I'm not sure if she's my favorite Toralei or if it's still Neon.

Her guitar strap is a little too long, but she can make it work.

Definitely love this doll. Fearbook is a great line that I'd love to see continue. I would have gotten Laura, too, if I didn't have waaaaaaay too many of her. Maybe on sale...

REVIEW: Monster High Fearbook Twyla

Target jammed a bunch of my dolls together and then the FedEx carrier forced the giant package into the biggest hub slot. Genius. Fearbook Twyla was one of the boxes that got mangled.

She's okay though, so that's all that matters.

Food stuff. Game stuff.

Jacket.

Hugely disappointed Manny is not shown. WTF, Mattel. Even if you're not planning a doll, he's still in your show.

This Twyla is unusual, because she feels both little girlish and more adult. Something about her makeup has her looking older than the other two Twylas.

Maybe it's the giant forehead. Hmm. She just looks kinda over everything.

Epic Maddie Hatter vibes.

She's another great Twyla.

REVIEW: Monster High SPECTRA

IT

IS

ABOUT

FREAKIN'

TIME.

Considering how Spectra was the very first monster Clawdeen encountered in the first episode of the show, we should not have had to wait this long for her doll. And she still hasn't had an episode featuring her. Come on, team. Let's boo better.

I didn't end up getting a shot of her holding them, but the ghost chicken nuggets are one of my top food accessories this line has produced.

Spectra being Spectra, she has both a phone and a tablet. I haven't seen the signs of her being a gossip this time around, but she definitely likes to stay connected. And she's very studious. I wish the sunglasses were a hauntnomics book, but you know MH and their need for sunglasses.

Rhuen stays very true to her original form while at the same time being a definite upgrade. She's much cuter this time.

I wasn't using Lenore's stand for anything and it is absolutely perfect for Spec.

STUNNING.

I'm not taking the top layer off, as I'm sure others have done it already.

I adore her outfit. The chain detail on the back is particularly nice.

Sunglasses don't want to fit right and I don't want to waste time messing with them. You get the idea.

Her hair is a pretty blend of colors.

Classic Spectra motif.

She has a very striking face shape that's not always attractive from every angle, but that's very Spectra.

I think she's one of the best G3s.

Very happy to finally be able to add her to my group of faves on my coffee table.

REVIEW: Naturalistas Series 2

Target had Series 2 of the Naturalistas, too.

I never got Dayna from the first series.

I'm glad I waited. This one is stunning and has the best outfit of the line.

Gorgeous.

I did buy Liya from the first series, but her hair was incredibly thin and I'm happy for this new one.

Her hair is definitely not thin.

I love the outfit, too.

Whitney is the new girl for Series 2.

Profile blurb.

The doll is stunning, but the outfit isn't nearly as good as the other two.

She's so stunning. Love her!

I'm happy this line is continuing.
