Li'l Frightenings

We all know I love a good fakie. These little oddities are over a decade old with very little info on them out there. I somehow have never seen one before. There's another Velma with a discolored head on ebay for much cheaper than this one was, but she's pristine and doesn't have any head yellowing. Worth it.

Some of the lineup are clear Monster High knockoffs, but Velma is a cavegirl. Which is only really obvious if you look at her box art.

I love the generic bear accessories.

If you happen to find one of these, the shoes are

If you thought she looked familiar, it's because she uses the same head mold (even with markings) as the old Galaxy Starz (Novi Stars fakies sold at Family Dollar). The body is also the same, although Velma's doesn't have the molded markings that the Galaxy Starz do.

Hanging with Twyla.

If they had made all these, some of them would have been spectacular. I've only seen Wicked Wednesday and Sinister Sabrina (two versions each with a different pet) online.

Wednesday is clearly Draculaura. Tabitha is apparently Clawdeen as a werecat. Sabrina's a witch. Cora is Lagoona. Blair is Cleo but chalk white. I love her. Scary Mary is a scarecrow and she would have been amazing. Francine Frankie. I would have loved to have seen how they pulled off Medusa's hair. Hexing Hilda seems to be another witch. Sabrina. Hilda. Yep. Haunting Holly the ghost, and Fiery Fiona the sister of Heath, I guess. Adorable art for these. The dolls would have been simplified a lot, but I still would have loved a lot of them.

If anyone has Sabrina or Wednesday for sale, please let me know!
