REVIEW: Monster High Winter Cleo

It took me two tries to get a good Cleo. The first one had a huge lip rub, though it wasn't on the front of the box like it usually is. Thankfully, Amazon is super easy with returns.

I was really hoping to see more white or cream used. Her minidress underneath could have been white. Same with the shawl. Egyptians were simply not covered in gold all day every day and I get tired of the constant gold.

Honestly, I really wish they'd leaned into silver. Silver was far more precious, because it wasn't as easy to get. I've been wanting a silver Cleo for years.

I saw a lot of complaining about this skirt but for me, that's the highlight of this outfit. It reminds me of Amarna style, which the original MH body also does. Leaving her in just the minidress weakens the doll extremely and shows disrespect for the cultural inspiration.

She's another stunning Cleo.

Absolutely love the back of this headdress.

Gorgeous.

Her heels are Anubises bearing ornaments. Kitschy cute.

I don't love her as much as the masquerade one, but she is undoubtedly stunning.

But now could we PLEASE have a holiday Abbey?!!!

  1. This Cleo is lovely. A bit monochromatic, but I love her silhouette. It's unique among many MH designs and people taking off the skirt just make me feel like that one Meryl Streep meme. Another Monster High Girl in a miniskirt? Groundbreaking.

    1. Exactly! They complain all the time about "another mermaid dress" while most of the ones they're complaining about aren't even mermaid dresses and then they prefer a basic minidress over this amazing skirt. It's baffling.

    2. My fave was still people 'Improving' Freak Du Chic Draculaura's design with a skirt. And no leggings.
Yeah, she'd be flashing an entire Circus Tent.
