In case anyone doesn't follow me on IG, I live in Asheville and 3 weeks ago, a hurricane hit. We were without water and power for about 3 days. We still have no wifi or cable. The cable came back for a day and a half, only to disappear last night. So I can't use my normal review style, which is digital camera and laptop. I've got some pics ready to go for when wifi comes back, but this is one review I didn't want to wait on.
Stores here are mostly open again, though some were destroyed by catastrophic flooding. But my Walmart doesn't have these new Shibajuku Anime dolls. I overpaid a bit for this one on Mercari but I have no regrets.
All these photos were taken on my phone and I'm typing this on my phone, which is pretty annoying. If anything looks weird, well, at least I tried!
Anyway! Who remembers the Shibajuku Girls doll line? I still have most of mine. Definitely not a line I would have expected to make a comeback, but here we are. This girl's name is Akira and she's the spooky one, kinda like Yoko was for the original line. Look at the cute skull designs on this dress. Love it!
It's a really nice dress.
She has a black cat ear headband. Nicely made and it's got little bells on it.
Cute but I'm not leaving it on.
And here's original Yoko for a comparison!
The bodies are the same, just less shiny. Hair is very similar. The only difference is really the new face style. I like both of them.
Yeah, I love her. I'm glad I was able to get one.
Not the most glamorous review ever, but I hope I've given some idea of how cute she is. I need to get back to stalking the Walmart site for Kiki. They've only released two so far and they're Walmart exclusives.
Hopefully, I will be back with more soon in my normal format.
Oh Geez, I hope you're okay otherwise. The weather in parts of the U.S. got me worried.
ReplyDeleteShe's cute! And altough subtle, the eyes look much better IMHO. (Something about the old eyes unsettles me.)
Unlike last time, we have no apartment damage, so we don't have to move. Things are mostly normal except for the lack of cable/wifi and being insanely busy at work.
DeleteOof, I can imagine that.
DeleteGlad to hear you're safe and well, I was getting worried! Sorry to hear you had to go through all of that though x_x
ReplyDeleteIt's my second one and without structural damage, it's not nearly as bad. At this point, everything is back, but I'd love it if they'd lift the boil water advisory.
