REVIEW: Magic Mixies Pixlings Galaxy Hair DEERLEE

Another Galaxy Hair arrival!

This time I remembered the barrettes right away.

She's pretty, but I think the original was superior. I do love being able to see the ears on this one though.

Cute from the side.

I'm not doing the color change thing. Making her hair purple would just be doing her a disservice.
As with Unia, this new version is going to be my Deerlee. My first series Deerlee kept her original name of Willow. These two look so different that they can be different characters. So first series is Willow, this one is Deerlee.

Amusingly, they decided to give the mini the name of Willow, so at least they're using it somewhere.

Overall, I like her, but she's not as interesting detail-wise as the first. Her hair is so long that it makes her even more unstable than she already is. She tips to one side, especially on the stand. I wish they used two pegs on the stands instead of only one. I had to take her off the stand to put her beside Willow on the shelf.

Looking forward to Firensa next week!

REVIEW: Just Play's Adoorbs Part 1

A friend found Adoorbs in her Walmart, so I had to go check myself. I got lucky and found three! They weren't on the regular shelving but perched up on the top.

They're $14.97 each.

I'm happy to announce that they're also not blind! My friend noticed the hearts on the bottom. Each one has a symbol in it that matches the character symbols on the checklist. So no buying anyone you don't want.

So we've got a teacup for the Alice fan, a paw for Cruella, and a rocket for Buzz.

Unwrapped and ready to open.

I actually followed the numerical order and it was really fun to open.

Pack #1

Little cardboard VIP card, VIP badge, and a clip that the Doorable can attach to.

Pack #2

Footwear

Packs #3 and #4

Doorable and accessory

Then we've got Sadie and her stand.

All the stands so far are blue.

Holding the clip.

I love her hair.

I'm not even a big Toy Story fan, but she is gorgeous. I want the alien one, too.

Love her!

Skipping the opening order for the others.

This is Anita.

And she is perfection.

Here are Chantel's things.

She has fantastic hair. Big, lovely curls and there are braids mixed in, too.

I wish her purse was a little more stable. She drops it a lot. But otherwise, she's excellent.

My first three girls. I don't want the entire line, but definitely a handful more.

Checklist with symbols!

I need Breeana, Devin, Luna and Hayden. Possibly Naomi and Ava.

Now to wonder who the hidden ones are and if they'll be identifiable by their symbols.

REVIEW: Royale High Avrilla the Dark Fairy

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

This poor girl has been delayed twice, but she finally made it home.

Avrilla is one of the Royale High fashion dolls. These run $19.99 on Amazon. They're available to order, but all "temporarily out of stock."

I love this art.

I don't play the game, but I think this is a cute idea, and the dolls seem to look just like the game characters. I've read some people complaining about this, but they're not random fashion dolls. They're from a specific game with a specific style. What did you expect?

Avrilla comes with a comb, journal and item code.

I don't play the game, but this time I did keep the code. If someone wants it, leave me your email. It didn't scratch off well though, so the last three digits are messed up. I can read one and I'm pretty sure about the second, but the last one is harder.

Her journal was disappointing, as it's not a journal. It's a little list of questions and her answers, which is cute, but then I think it was another couple questions with answers for her owner to fill in, I guess? I expected at least one typical journal entry.

This is her after some salon time.

The gel at the ends of her pigtails was RH-level rock hard. It washed out, but it took time and effort. Her bangs were also gelled, but that washed out easily. I left them wet and held them down with a plastic band to get them this flat. The one side still sticks out, but this is so much better than it was.

Her hair is pretty nice. Not RH soft, but not horrible. Definitely not frizzy.

I LOVE her face! The head shape seems to throw people off, but I think it makes her really unique.

I love every bit of her makeup.

The tiara is really nice, too.

The rubber part of the top is separate and closes in the back pretty easily. The collar part just sits and doesn't fasten in the back.

I like the layered skirt and the long-sleeved top.

Her wings fit very securely into a slot in her back.

These boots are insane. Definitely a little bit Draculaura with the lighter pink and the bows, but then there are studs, stars, clouds and spikes, too. They're over the top in the most fun way.

I would change the color though. Silver. Darker to match the skirt. Even the same pink as the rubber top. Or maybe just some black and silver paint would have helped this pink go a little better. It's a minor nitpick though, honestly.

The body is very sturdy and quite poseable.

She's shorter than the short MH, so on the smaller side height-wise.

I would highly recommend her if you're a fan of the game or if you're like me and you just like unique new additions to your collection. I think she's worth the $20 price tag for sure.

Now hurry up and make a fire fairy, Jazwares. I don't love any of the other three and she needs a friend.

REVIEW: Magic Mixies Pixlings Galaxy Hair FLYT

At last, the Galaxy Hair Pixlings are shipping out! I was very happy to see Flyt coming first.

Now to me, this girl is Nebula. That was the name we knew her by. Her little mini friend is called Hover, but I'm calling mine Flyt.

Nebula comes with a stand, three hairbands, a comb, and her Mixies Mini friend.

She also has two barrettes that aren't pictured. I totally missed them in the package when I was deboxing and then saw them on her Amazon item page, so I retrieved them. They're very cute, but not great at being barrettes. I managed to stick them back farther in her hair, but they don't close if they're holding much hair.

I feel like I've been waiting forever for her. She's my new favorite. Angelica is a very close second.

SO.

CUTE.

Ears!

Her hair feature is glow in the dark, though I didn't try it.

Gorgeous wings. I love dragonflies.

Her bodysuit is really neat. I love the design.

Yep, new fave. She's perfect. Hoping to have Deerlee on Wednesday and then Pippa/Firensa says October 2nd.

REVIEW: Defa Lucy

I seriously missed out on Defa Lucy. I bought two when people were just starting to see them. I have the one with the short, silvery blue hair and black top, and then the ponytail brunette with the holographic pants from that same series. I kept seeing all these other awesome ones and waiting for them to come to Temu, which I wanted to stick with instead of also buying from Shein or AliExpress.

Very much kicking myself for not buying the one with the really short black bob. I came so close to getting her so many times and now almost all of the dolls are gone!

I finally bit the bullet and set up AliExpress, so this girl, who was my most wanted from the Barbie Extra-ish series, was part of my first order.

She is my top favorite for many reasons.

First, I love that fat twist of brown and purple hair.

Second, the outfit is near perfection. The jacket looks like it came from Jem with those shoulders. It reminds me of the Electric Chords outfit, which had a purple jacket and then pink pants with black stripes like these. I love the lime green crop top, though the "Girl Power" printed on it is the single thing I dislike about this entire outfit. The skirt is absolute perfection. The boots are a weird match with a skirt that length, but they work. I mean she and her mini pony both have Saturn necklaces, so she's an out there kinda girl.

The necklaces, earrings and sunglasses are all great. I'm not as fond of the watch, but I don't hate it. I think I just wish it was the same shade as the boots.

The purse has the oddest strap, but it works.

The pink scrunchy is the only other thing I'm going to nitpick, but I like the scrunchy itself. The pink just doesn't match anything else. I would have preferred lavender or lime green.

Why can't we have all these over here right now?

That hair.

That FACE. She is stunning.

Like the second I deboxed her, I knew she was going to join my favored Coffee Table Crew so I could look at her every day.

The boots.

I really, really wish I hadn't missed out on more of this series! I think two others are still available, but I'm not as into those. I want the white/blue-haired one in the orange outfit.

But I did order one more (green hair!) from a different series. I can't risk not getting her.

Definitely hoping we see more of these on the sales sites soon. I don't regret getting AliExpress to get her. Though my wallet certainly regrets it!
