REVIEW: Tutulong Fantasy Forest Tea Party

I finally got around to ordering these. I've wanted them since I first saw them.

There are some differences from the prototypes to the final, but none that bother me.

So these are the Tutulong Fantasy Forest Tea Party plush.

They're basically a small plush animal with three bendable tails and plastic faces.

If you want all six, just go ahead and buy the case. It's guaranteed you'll either get all six or you'll get five plus the hidden rare.

As with all these blind box things I import, each comes with a character card.

This is the Cloud Tutulong.

She's mostly white and her head accessory looks like a veil.

She has some blue accents and the purple horns.

Next up is one of my favorites.

Mushroom Tutulong!

I love his face the most.

Love all the blues.

The peachy one is next.

This one is called Ginkgo.

Little hat!

Here's the purple.

Her name is Hydrangea Ball.

Little blossoms on her antlers.

I love her purples.

The pink.

This is Sakura.

The pops of green elevate her a lot.

Very pretty.

And the green.

This is Firefly.

LOVE. Definitely a fave along with Mushroom.

Lovely greens.

Sakura, Ginkgo and Firefly.

Cloud, Mushroom and Hydrangea.

My favorites.

Actually...

There we go. My favorites.

And adorable plush line! I love the detail on them and they're very soft. A little too small and pointy to be cuddly, but I wasn't expecting that from them.

BEARRIVAL

E Normous was one of the last three preorders from 2023 that I've been waiting for and he is GORGEOUS.

He's big, super soft, cuddly, and wonderful.

THIS FACE.

Avalon is one of those unusual designs that I could see people disliking, but I love. Giant poofy ears!

His long pile fur is incredibly soft, much softer than that length usually is.

I love his colors and his shorter fur might be tyber. It's that soft. I did not think he'd be a very cuddly one, but he really is!

Avalon was a preorder, but JD was on my "maybe" list. I wasn't into any of the ones I'd seen from other stockists, but my stockist got this guy and it was love.

JD is an unusual type of plush. It's textured, so the peachy parts are shorter pile than the rest.

From the front, it looks like his head is misshapen, but that's just a spot where the shorter plush is.

I love him. My only nitpick is that his head is much harder than the rest of his body, so he's not as cuddly as he could be. Great face, softness, and colors though!

VINTAGE REVIEW: My Beautiful Doll Maribeth

In 1989, Hasbro produced a line of large dolls called My Beautiful Doll.

I'm not sure what height I was thinking, but this lady is a whopping 17.5" tall! Yep, almost American Girl height. Much smaller scale though. She's like half the width of an AG body.

I've always liked Maribeth and one other from this line, but I recently got back into vintage toys a bit more than I have been lately, and I couldn't resist making an offer on her. I got her for $25 shipped. I feel a little bad because I doubt the seller made any money on her after fees and shipping, but I honestly did not expect them to take the offer! (I usually start a bit low and we go back and forth.)

The 80s...when everything was hazy.

Still hazy.

This is giving me serious Sleepover Friends nostalgia.

All of them come with a locket.

And this comb is seriously epic.

"Who's in your locket, Maribeth?"

"ME! So what?"

Again, epic comb. The actual front AND back of the girl? Come on! Actually, likely one of the best combs I've ever seen for a doll line.

Okay, they're aptly named. She's definitely my beautiful doll. Gorgeous face.

She's quite well-made. The outfit is lovely. She has fabric panties on, too, so nicely detailed.

They did something I'd never seen before and I was so curious about it that I have no photos except it is visible in the boxed pic. They took a thin lock of hair and used it to hold her bangs flat. Then you just tug it loose and tuck it behind her ribbon. It worked really well, though I don't think it would on smaller dolls so much.

Some of the best constructed fuzzy slippers I've ever seen.

Grif is very interested in this review process.

There we go.

So yeah, safe to say I'm impressed. I want my other fave from the line for sure. She's Marissa, the brunette in the blue dress from the side of the box. Might not say no to some others, too.

REVIEW: Monster High Monster Fest Lagoona

They have been killing it with the Lagoonas lately.

Except the giant ugly purse. That's just...so not cute. Bleh.

Lagoona has a taste for black/neon food like Frankie.

Okay, LOVE the sunglasses.

Yeah, definitely love.

Her eyes photograph a little odd with this makeup. It looks really good in person though.

I am normally very against socks under sandals, but I'm going to let the Jem nostalgia wash over me and allow it.

For once, she's keeping the sunglasses. While I love the makeup, I equally love the sunglasses and I think they elevate the entire look.
